I am sharing an experience using TARGET ONLINE for 2025 back to school. I would give zero stars but that's not allowed. We used the 20% teacher discount to order a number of back-to-school items to stock the classroom. It's for high school so most things were pens, 3x5 cards, folders, graph paper, tissues, paper towels etc. We did order the new stem Lego for science. The experience was awful!!! First a $400 order only had a $20 discount. Five % was from the red card. We called and were told that items were ineligible for the 20%. We asked where the policy was posted (nowhere!) I challenge you to find it. It is NOT easy to find. They had to e-mail the exclusions to us. No Lego's: no Levis, no computer stuff, like headphones nor anything 3rd party, which happened to be the graph paper and safety glasses for the lab. GRRRR so we said fine please still ship the order. The order arrived without a packing slip (come on its 2025) and we only got the 3rd party items and Legos. We checked and it said order complete. We called again and it was another 45 min on the phone explaining what wasn't shipped and they agreed to refund some unavailable items (like up and up hand sanitizer do to unavailability) whatever. The rest of the items were to be shipped out again and 2 weeks later we were still missing 3 items. We called again and another 45 min later got a refund for the unavailable items from the 2nd call and a confirmation that they would look into the complaint, and we should be refunded the remaining $20. Four days later we received a text from target saying, "NO refund because WE couldn't PROVE that the items were not delivered." Seriously? if I was going to lie about missing items it would be the $250 worth of Legos not $20 worth of school supplies!!!! Another 45 min call later and the complaint was escaladed again. Four days later I received the additional $20 refund. In the meantime, I order pens and 3x5 cards from AMAZON and they arrived the next day WITH a packing slip!!! Thanks, target, for making this teacher back to school shopping more stressful than the first day of school with 125 sixteen-year-olds!!! I will NEVER order from target online again!! By the way the local target cannot help you with online orders or credit card issues. They are completely...
Read moreI started my day with looking for a specific toy for my sons birthday. My local Pottstown store said they have a limited stock but when I went there they had none on hand and one of the sales people helped me and showed me that the Royersford location had in stock so I pre-ordered while I was still in the Pottstown target and made my way up to the second location. On my way I got a text alert saying my item was not in stock and I immediately called this location To get things sorted and a young man named Evan answered my call and was amazing to work with he Was super apologetic that I was already driving toward the location and that the app was misinformed. He had other employees check the back stock to make sure that there wasn’t one hidden anywhere. And told me that if I could come into the store he would order it for me and waive the shipping cost. Upon entering the storwas super apologetic that I was a ready driving toward the location and that the app was misinformed. He had other employees check the backstock to make sure that there wasn’t one hidden anywhere. And told me that if I could come into the store he would order it for me and waive the shipping cost. I went into the store and Right to customer service, Evan was there waiting for me with the item pulled up so I could be in and out quickly. While he was helping me with my order the phone rang and he paged to other employees to help grab the phone both of which did not help him so I made it clear that it was OK that he could answer the phone that I wouldn’t be angry as that was going on one of the people he asked was walking right past us on her own cell phone not paying attention at all. Evan took the phone call quickly and continue to work on my order when the phone rang again and yet another employee who was standing nearby did not help him with the phone call so he was very apologetic and answered that call as well. By no means was I disappointed in services with him but you should know if I had to work with anyone besides Evan about this it wouldn’t have been handled so graciously. This man needs to me recognized for his amazing customer...
Read moreVideo games were on promo- buy 2 get 1 free. Online the prices were much lower. 2 games were $5 cheaper and one was $12 cheaper. I was currently in the store and wanted to purchase them and have the price matched to the online price. I was told by the gentlman in electronics that they could price match but then I would not be able to get the current deal it was one or the other. I told him I did not understand and would like to speak to someone. He took me and my 3 games to the customer service desk where I was told by the nice lady the exact same thing. I would need to choose which discount I wanted becasue I was unable to have both. Needless to say I was not very happy because I was looking at the items online for the lower price and the deal. So I had to stand at customer service, place the order online for store pick up and wait for them to do it. When I advised the lady at customer service that I was going to do that she informed me I could be waiting a while because it goes into a que and they have 2 hours to complete it. Luckily I was only standing there about 20 minutes while it was pulled, even though all 3 games were sitting right at the front desk already. If it was not such a good day and a Valentines day gift for my son, I certainly would have left after being forced to wait over 30 minutes total to get what was advertised on your website. You have to do better Target. Why would I be penalized for price matching and not be allowed to get the...
