I usually like to give places the benefit of the doubt as someone may just be having a bad day but I don’t find that to be the case at this location.
I waited close to 20 minutes in the shoe department waiting for someone to assist. There was seemingly only one employee working, no system in place as to who was next, no way to ask for additional help. I got skipped several times as the only employee would just move on to whoever she saw I guess. I asked another gentleman if there was anyone to help, he radioed back and stated someone needed help in shoes then disappeared. I waited even longer thinking additional help would arrive which never did.
After wandering aimlessly for several moments and unable to find an employee on the floor I returned and the sales girl finally helped me. She didn’t seem particularly friendly or attentive as she immediately walked away after getting my shoes and began helping someone else. I needed to try a different size and ended up leaving. Bought the same shoes at the size I wanted at Finish Line in about five minutes.
Bottom line; this type of disorganization to me says there’s a disconnect from the management team. It shouldn’t be like looking for an oasis in a desert to receive assistance. I spent around 30 minutes in the store trying to be hopeful only to leave and get better support elsewhere in five minutes. This experience alone made me not want to shop for anything in this store again.
I don’t understand how a store could operate with no system in place to determine who is next or who needed help. Nobody ever greeted me or asked me about anything. The employees all seemed to have a vibe that they were avoiding customers. The lack of standards at this location...
Read moreVery unsatisfied with my trip to Dick's today. Went to find a pair of women's soccer cleats at noon on a Wednesday, which I assumed would be a less chaotic time to go retail shopping.
The clerks in the shoe department were difficult to flag down and get sizes from. There were multiple customers around me that seemed equally frustrated. One lady even asked me, "Did that clerk run away from you to?!" You know the service is bad when customers are talking about it openly on the floor.
Once I was able to ask a clerk for shoe sizes, Dick's had VERY FEW of the sizes that I needed. I was unable to try on several of the styles that I visited to the brick and mortar store specifically to try on, including the Adidas Nemiziz and the Nike Tiempo women's cleats.
Moral of the story-I'm ordering all of my cleats directly from Amazon. It is less trouble to box up my returns and drive to the post office than go...
Read moreOk, so it's taken me 4 visits to write a review, I was just giving the benefit of people having bad days, but officially will not return and and let management know how horrible and rude staff is, mainly sporting and the armory area. This is explaination of two visits. Went in to buy a elliptical, waited 20 min for someone, as they walked by. When I asked for someone, again, wasn't responded with a respectful answer. After we finally talked to someone, we decided to buy at another place. Just now, went in to buy ammo, and the guy was extremely rude, and even though ammo is hard to come by and you had what I needed, I gave them back and left. My family will not return and I know you guys will survive without my business. You would prob have more business if you had better employees. Note, it's not cause of the pandemic, cause 3 of those times were before this...
