We wanted to support local business and return to this company after a decent experience with them a few years ago. We should have listened to the review from Cisco a few months ago. My hope is this review cautions anyone else from relying on this company to a) deliver on time b) keep you informed c) call you back or d) keep their word. Our experience started at the end of March. It was easy to choose and pay for our order - but as soon as we left, never once did we receive proactive communication. The first time I called was to check when my cabinets would be delivered since our contractor (who we hired to redo our whole bathroom remodel and avoid having Greystone install) was already confirmed. I was informed "oh, the truck is in the area". No warning, no coordinating or confirming if I was even home and available. I ended up having to cancel a work meeting to be there for the delivery. After our contractor was finished, the last piece from Greystone was the Quartz. This began a 6 week nightmare. We had to be the one to call, leave messages, and make several attempts to visit the showroom. The showroom was closed during business hours or managed by someone with no responsibility other than to say "the owners are out of town". We finally received a cell phone number and resorted to text messages. They never bothered to call us and have a conversation and the answer to all the delays and unreturned calls was to explain they have vacations and graduations. We finally had the installer arrive (after no-showing the day before) only to have it installed with the WRONG sink. Come to find out, the counter top was also cut incorrectly, leaving the sink even smaller than the smaller version than what we ordered. The owner, never even offered to have a conversation to seek resolution. She offered, over text, a refund check "within 7 days" for the mistake, but unfortunately this seemed to be a lie since we are still waiting for it after 3 weeks. At the outset, I was impressed with the professionalism and attention to detail during the consultation and design phases. The team was enthusiastic and helped us select the perfect cabinets for our space, which was encouraging. The installation process also went smoothly, and I appreciated the installers' efficiency and expertise.
However, my satisfaction quickly diminished when I noticed that the black cabinets I ordered had some noticeable scratches. I expected a higher level of quality control, especially considering the significant investment I made. To address the issue, the installer attempted a quick fix by coloring in the scratches with a black marker. Unfortunately, this solution was far from ideal, as the marker did not match the cabinet finish, leaving a visible discrepancy that detracts from the overall aesthetic.
After the installation, I reached out to the company multiple times via email to express my concerns and seek a resolution. However, I was met with a frustrating lack of responsiveness. It feels as though once the final payment was made, the level of customer service significantly declined. I even requested the color code for the cabinets so that I could address the issue myself, but my inquiries went unanswered.
Overall, while I was pleased with the initial stages of working with Greystone Kitchen Company, the lack of follow-up and poor communication regarding my concerns has soured my experience. I now have cabinets that have permanent marker as a failed color match, which is not what I expect from a company at this price point. We somewhat had an idea what we wanted but wasn’t sure how to piece it together. Brian and Vannan started putting ideas together and made our dream kitchen a reality. They were so attentive to what we wanted. Brian and Vannan also came to our home and recommended a new layout that was more functional. i.e. moving the refrigerator to give us more counter space etc. They were always available to answer our calls and assist in what ever we needed.
