Updating my review: Civ’s Gaming Citadel is a gaming lobby. There are a variety of electronic gaming options, as well as tabletop. There are sections of the store that I would categorize into PC gaming, Virtual Reality, and Tabletop gaming.
The reason I don’t use the words Gaming Cafe and instead use Gaming Lobby to describe this establishment is because of a lack of an in store coffee shop. HOWEVER, there are plenty of SNACKS and DRINKS available to purchase whilst enjoying the atmosphere and games.
PC gaming is a room dedicated too extremely powerful desktop computers running software for, what I would call, lobby style gaming. You pay for a set amount of time and use of a profile to enjoy an array of available games.
Virtual Reality has two joint rooms with a sofa for guests to watch and participate in VR gaming. The rooms are separated by a wall making for ideal VR play. I’ve heard stories about customers lacking special awareness despite having obvious boundaries in game and in the room. If you lack depth perception, please do not endanger the staff or yourself in this establishment and consider playing the other games available. You are liable for your own injury or endangerment to others.
Tabletop gaming is on the rise and has multiple rooms dedicated to its category. The main lobby has tables that most use for board games and TCG’s (tabletop card games). There is a dedicated room for Dungeons and Dragons that you can rent out or elect to pay to play with an established group courtesy of the store.
This place is growing and has another room in development dedicated for gaming.
I didn’t cover the local crafted knickknacks, TCG mats, and miniatures sold here. But, they are available! I originally rated this place 5 stars and I still think that it deserves...
Read moreThis new store has only been around a few months, but it is one of the greatest places to go in Vernal. They are open late and its a great place to hang with friends and meet new people. There are so many cool and free activities to do; paint night, board games, DnD games, Magic the Gathering games. The paid activities are also well worth the money. The Virtual Reality setups are always working and have a great lineup of games. The PCs have some specs and can handle high profile games and great internet connections for online play. They have the latest generation consoles and Xbox Game pass and PS plus. They have two Nintendo switches with many of the great titles Nintendo offers. The huge party room in the back is perfect for birthday, or any type of celebration. It is always clean and well lit. The service is great and always willing to show you around.
Overall great place!...
Read moreA phenomenal place to partake in all sorts of gaming. The biggest reason I go is for the D&D, there is a game every day Monday through Saturday. Magic the Gathering is one of the big attractions and that is Friday nights. There are plenty of computers to play, as well as the newest console of every brand. There are two dedicated VR rooms and they even do 3D printing by commission. There are many other niche products that you can browse when you stop by as well as plenty of snacks of all kinds. I would highly recommend anyone coming down and checking it out, I am sure there is something for...
