This is specific to the framing department only - I had 4 very large custom pieces that I needed framed, which cost me $2181.52. When I got them back, 1 of the pieces was missing the hanging hardware on the back. So, after borrowing a trailer from a friend to bring all these pieces home, I had to return to the store to get hardware to put it on myself. On the other 3 pieces, the hardware was placed as if I were hanging these horizontally when I specifically told them I want to hang vertically. So I had to remove ALL hanging hardware and re-do everything correctly. AFTER hanging them, we learned that 2 identical canvases were in different sized custom frames (1 was over an inch longer than the other) which looked absolutely ridiculous when hung side by side. I called Michael's and am now dealing with their store manager - Patrick - who was wonderful and is expediting new frames of the same size to fix the issue. However, I am beyond disappointed that I spent over $2,000 for an experience this bad, and I'm not even given a refund of any sorts?? A store credit?? It's laughable.... DO NOT RECOMMEND and will never be using them for framing...

After standing in line at the framing counter, we were eventually met with a loud side comment from and employee on their cell phone that they were on lunch and needed to get from behind the counter since customers were lining up. I decided maybe to check the aisles at that point. After buying a not so cheap prefab frame that did not meet what I needed, I returned it that same day and tried the counter again. The prices were extremely unreasonable and being told my panoramic puzzle was a unique size that had to be specially made. Read moreI placed an order for curbside pick up. When I got there, I waited for 20 minutes before going inside the store to find someone. Of the 4 items I purchased, 2 were out of stock, which was not the store's fault. They were extremely busy and only have 5 registers. Only 2 or 3 were open when I got into the store. It took a representative another almost 10 minutes just to locate my order and when she did, only 1 item was there. She did go back to the aisle and look, but they were out of stock of that one as well. A different representative did offer me a replacement, so I was able to get something close. This rep also opened the other 2 or 3 aisles to help...
