During my good old college years during my winter break, I would come down to Florida and one of these days, I get together at Olive Garden with my family there. Let me tell you that this place is my #1 restaurant that I've been to in Florida and the servers as so welcoming and so friendly creating a welcome atmosphere. What makes this place special is when my family laughs with the server if they say something that is interesting. The food is absolutely delicious which is an A+ and there is a great variety that you can choose from. When you walk in, you will get to choose a drink you want which I highly suggest you get something other than water and you will have a choice on getting the appetizer. But mainly, you can have a choice of soup or salad while you wait for your main meals and the best part of it is that you get unlimited refills on both the soup and salad so ENJOY them! Both the soup and salad is delicious and I suggest you bring your family there because you will may get to try both the soup and a salad which they serve one big bowl of salad to a person. The bread is a must in which you must try since it taste so good and fresh. As for your main meals when you choose, I suggest you be creative and create your own pasta which I would mainly choose spaghetti, some sauce and meatballs. The best part when creating your pasta is when the server tells you how much cheese you want and he or she will keep going until you say stop. Don't eat your whole main meal because you do not want to stuff yourself and can save and eat it the next day if you love the food like I do. I would highly suggest you go for the desert because the desert is really good and there is a variety that you can choose from so pick the one you really want or you haven't tried but is interesting. Overall, everything was great with a great atmosphere, great servers, and great food there and I am so happy to go there. If you have visit your family in Florida in Vero Beach, I highly suggest you bring your group to eat there because the food is delicious and a great place to eat. It is something memorable for me when I...
Read moreBefore I start, I'd like to mention that of the many times I've gone to this Olive Garden, they've normally been on point with the food quality, food arrival, waiter/waitress service, etc. Although, today they weren't as sharp.
I feel as if the communication between kitchen and waiter/waitress isn't too solid. My mother tonight requested on multiple occasions, from the dressing and content of our salad to the sauce she received for her pasta, to not contain any garlic (considering she's allergic to it). The salad and pasta both had to be resent for the both of them contained it. Additionally, my father and I had both waited well over 20 minutes for drink refills, even after reminding her 3 times. These weren't the only issues from tonight, the temperature of our soups and the quality of our breadsticks weren't consistent; we had lukewarm soup and soft breadsticks one serving then boiling hot soup and toasty breadsticks the next.
Now, I'm no person to be blaming the waiter/waitress for mistakes on the kitchen's end, but both sides were at fault tonight, albeit minor inconveniences. Although, our food was delicious. I had ordered a Chicken Alfredo, to which they were polite enough to give me extra sauce. My father exclaims that his pasta shells were flavorful, the cheeses could easily be identified and they blended well together. My mother loved the wine so much apparently, she said and I quote, "I love you so much, I don't know what I would do without you." In which my father said, "Is that you or the wine talking?" To which my mother responds, "I was talking to the wine."
Overall, tonight had its ups and downs. The food was good, the service quality was decent, and the wine made my father split the bill. Either way, I see myself coming back here again with my family, and maybe next time I'll...
Read moreMark and I go here fairly often. Not my favorite place but the drinks and bread sticks are on point. It lost points with me when they changed the chicken stuffed marsala recipe from whatever they did before to be able to leave out mushrooms to telling me they can't take the mushrooms out because they are now using cream of mushroom soup instead. So negative points already for me since that's the one dish I truly enjoyed there but I dealt with it because Mark likes to eat there often. So now fast forward to tonight. I travel home and Mark says let's go to Olive Garden....Kay so we get there. Seated right away awesome! We sat there for 20 minutes and no waitress to be seen or to even come say "hello I'll be right with you." The place isn't even swamped with people yet so couldn't have been a hard task and it would have went well with us. Time keeps passing and the table behind us was seated. I literally tell Mark that they are going to get served before we do. And what do you know after sitting in the booth for 30 minutes, the same server who walked past our table a few times goes to their table to take their drink orders not even 5 minutes after the party being seated. Normally I try not to make a fuss about these things. But this waitress wasn't busy and we were over looked. Why I will never know. I certainly won't go back, not to Vero Beach location anyways. Mark stated this happened to him before. We left but they did hear from Mark. Do they care probably not. But their customer service lacks, and that's just not something you do in any business but especially not the...
