Things have changed and NOT for the better. I had visited multiple times over the years for repairs and gifts, referred friends and acquaintances. Never again! I usually dealt with Steven for repairs and Jacob on jewelry. In Sept 2022, I went in for repairs and a custom addition to a necklace. Steven, as usual, was kind and helpful. For the custom work I dealt with Abraham. This became an atrocious experience. This elderly man was not only incredibly rude but attempted to rip me off, a thief. He tried to charge me double. The original pricing on his paperwork was crossed out and he added new pricing. The receipt printed and I was originally given had multiple items on it and the total. Not every line or item showed on the printed receipt, there is limited space, but this is NOT something the customer can manipulate. He tried to tell me that to repair 6 silver items, and size a gold ring, totaled $825 and that did not include the custom job. Even though we had discussed the total for everything at length. I tried to explain repeatedly the entire total was $825, which had included a credit as well. He had changed the original amount of approx $300/325 for repairs and added the additional for the custom work. He repeatedly said I was wrong and called me a liar in front of my children. It was a horrible experience. Luckily Steven remembered that the SILVER repairs were about $300. Obviously the additional was for the custom work. Abraham still continued to argue. I will NEVER return or refer anyone here again. On top of everything one of the silver items wasn't even repaired and the gold ring that was sized, was only stretched. The name charm that was almost a $600 custom job, was supposed to match the original custom work, done elsewhere, it doesn't match. The job doesn't look custom. The double NN's in the name are not separated. Custom jobs should be detailed. If I could have given zero stars I would have. I did not review sooner because the experience was so terrible, and I was so angry, it took some time to...
Read moreI walked in to have a battery replaced for my watch and have a few links removed from said watch. There were at least 5 employees tending to other customers and I believe either the manager or owner waited on me. After he took care of my watch he placed it on my wrist and told me the cost. At that point two of the employees, including him, were behind the counter. I was waiting for someone to ring up the charge so I could pay. What I believe to be a "regular" customer and her husband came in with a treat and questions about a jewelry item. Obviously they knew her well as they were all doting on this one person and having a continual conversation about trivial things, laughing and giving her their full attention. I was still waiting for someone to pay but now the manager/owner was so involved with this customer and the other employees were snacking on whatever she brought, that I was completely ignored. I asked one of the employees to please ring this up as I had Christmas shopping to do and wanted to leave. It was like talking to a wall because again they gave all their attention to this couple. I was there as a customer also and although I was not going to purchase anything at that time, I decided that I would never purchase anything from them nor recommend them to anyone. Unless you are buying something or a regular customer, you don't seem to count. I believe the common practice is first come first serve so that you build clients who will return to your store. When one employee can serve a customer and the others are joining in, ignoring me when it's obvious that my transaction is almost complete, to me it was RUDE and inconsiderate! Never again. I DO NOT recommend this jeweler...
Read moreAll of the people here are so very nice and extremely helpful!! I had been looking for a place to take my jewelry for repairs and cleaning, I have an engagement ring that my husband to be put alot of time into buying me and didnt want to take my ring to just anyone. I was scared my prongs were loose and cause I could hear the center diamond move so needed to have prongs checked. Not only were my prongs loose, but they were also the wrong setting for my diamond. Abraham the owner took the time to sit and explain everything and to really get to know me and what styles I love. He spent so much time talking about settings and prongs that we decided to design a gorgeous setting to accent my stone and 2 additional bands on each side to make it a past, present and future set. He asked so many questions about how often I wear the ring, if I'm rough with my hands to know exactly what settings for the diamonds would be the best for me! Who does that now a days?!? Most people are just interested in the sale but not Abraham he wants to make sure your ring stands up with the test of time and is everything you could of dreamed of!! I decided to also purchase an everyday ring to wear on my left hand since I do work with my hands alot and they were able to size it while I waited. As well as fixing a bracket I had broken many years back.Thank God I found Ozels they truly treat you like family! Thank you Abraham and Steve for everything your all absolutely amazing! Highly recommend this place! Also they do offer many financing options if times are hard but you want to purchase...
