Mediocre Experience, Nothing Special

I recently visited Kirkland's and while it wasn't a terrible experience, it left much to be desired. Here are my thoughts:
Limited Selection: I was expecting a wide variety of home decor items based on their reputation, but I found the selection to be quite limited. It felt like they were missing some key items that would have made my shopping trip more fulfilling. Average Quality: The quality of the products I examined was decent, but nothing exceptional. Some items seemed a bit overpriced for the level of craftsmanship and materials used. I expected better considering the price range. Customer Service: The staff was friendly enough, but I didn't feel like they went above and beyond to assist me. I had some questions about specific products, and the answers I received were vague and lacked detailed knowledge. Store Layout: The store layout was a bit confusing, making it difficult to navigate and find what I was looking for. It would have been helpful to have clear signage or a store map to assist customers in locating different sections. Pricing: While some items were reasonably priced, I noticed that many others seemed to be on the expensive side compared to similar products at other stores. It made me question the value for money I was getting. In summary, Kirkland's didn't impress me as much as I had hoped. The limited selection, average quality, and underwhelming customer service left me feeling unenthused about my experience. Read moreI placed a curbside pick up order April 18th. I received the order confirmation which stated that I’d receive a separate email stating when I could pick up my purchase. I never received such an email, the next email I received was Sunday (memorial day weekend) saying I had 1 day to pick up my order (memorial day). I called Tuesday morning to check on my order and the gentleman I spoke with was extremely rude, cut me off every time I was in the middle of giving him the information he asked for, said he’d call me back then didn’t. I felt so overwhelmed and rushed that I wish I wouldn’t have called. I told him that if the order was cancelled, I wasn’t mad and understood. His voice was raised and he asked if I wanted my purchase so I told him if it was there, I’d be happy to pick it up. He just kept saying “this are chaotic right now” I understand things are crazy right now with Covid-19 and I was being more than reasonable and patient and despite my efforts I was treated very poorly from a customer standpoint. Read moreI went to the Alpine location on 4/26/2025. There's usually really inviting ppl working there. On this day (for the 15-20 minutes I was in the store) the two ladies that were working were so involved in their own conversation that they never took the time to greet me nor ask if I was looking for something specific. In my browsing I walked passed them at least three times. The Tanger location is closer to my home but I went to the Alpine location bc it's bigger and most recently has been the location that has had the items that I was looking for in stock.
