Market Basket — Local services in Warwick

My wife is just about done with the Bald Hill Market Basket. We have been customers from day one. Our experience was great with smiling helpful employees. However those days are long gone. Every time she returns from shopping she tells me how bad the checkouts are. The baggers all need to be retrained.. They consistently put too much in each bag. We bring 7 bags with us. The baggers are clueless on how to fill a bag. My wife even asks them to not make the bags too heavy. They constantly ignore her. They are not friendly or polite. Today, as a bagger was mis-bagging our order, a supervisor of some sort came over to chat with the bagger. They were speaking Spanish so we don’t know what they were saying. It just took the baggers attention away from her job. There is a lot of competition out there. We live less than a mile away from the West Shore Rd Dave’s Market. We like your store and you have what we buy but the aggravation of putting up with rude, untrained and poorly supervised customer service is not worth it. By the way I have 34 years experience in...

Market Basket is AWESOME! My daughter brought me here for my first time, and she said I would be Amazed. I’m Amazed! They have a great selection of foods and i am completely Amazed at the quality!! This place can easily put an end to every other food store! As we were walking through the store, I was completely amazed at the size and quality of the different foods! (I know I keep saying amazed… but I was!! Lol) we approached the seafood section and I saw the fish selection in the display. The Cod fish was so big that I just had to question it. I was told that it was brought in fresh that morning! It Was Huge! (I had been living in Florida for the last twenty years and the biggest piece of Cod there was about four inches and a few ounces!!) THIS Cod was almost Two Feet long and about 1.5 pounds!!! It was delicious!! I now have dreams about this place! The food is awesome at a price we all can enjoy. I am handicapped, and I went to visit this very busy market. My first issue in getting there, was that there were no handicap carts available. Because they recently opened, I actually expected that. We employees were asked for assistance in getting one, at least 4 leaped into action to get me one. To say they went above and beyond, would be an understatement. As I was shopping, I made a stop at the Deli. My intention was to grab American Cheese (at 3.99lb, who can pass that up), but because the Deli Clerk was so personable and friendly, I indulged with 3 other items. Again, Deli clerk, above and beyond. I made my way to the check out (no self serve registers, all manned with cashiers and baggers), and again, as everywhere else, employees are friendly, personable, and go out of their way to please their customers. Heck, they will even take your groceries to your car. I hope they keep this level of customer service standards, because they will continue to get return customers, because of it... WAY TO GO, MARKET...
