My fiancée and I worked with the 2 Rivers team on two consecutive transactions over the course of a year and a half and were completely blown away by the high-quality of their advice, their creativity, and their willingness to talk through all of the complexities of buying and selling homes in excruciating detail.

We started on the buy side in May of 2021 (!) and after our first conversation with Randy and Daren we both independently knew they would be perfect for our search. They worked hard to find us the right place over the course of many, many months in the hyper competitive (pandemic-fueled) DC market – we saw upwards of 50 places in person and had discussions as a team about an uncountable number of others. Throughout all of that, one thing that set Randy and Daren apart was their patience and total candor. we came to really value their perspective on the whole range of relevant questions as a buyer: location, lifestyle, price, negotiations, etc. They were crucial in helping us negotiate through a potentially deal-breaking inspection item, and I doubt anyone else could have done it in that market.

They were just as strong on the sell side in the summer and fall of 2022. Working with Randy and Daren, their deep experience was apparent constantly. Selling a home in the fastest real estate market tightening in decades was a tall order, and their execution was top notch. Again, their candor and commitment to providing their unvarnished opinions even when it contrasted with my own was game-changing and ultimately led to a successful sale. A related point: there are tremendous synergies from how Randy and Daren work together -- it was like getting a second opinion on every decision of consequence and the value of that as a seller was incredible. They went way above and beyond their job description in every way to make the process smooth for us and we couldn’t be happier.

We had an amazing experience working with Daren and Randy from the 2 Rivers Team! Having recently accepted a job in DC and committing to move to a new city that we had never once visited, house hunting could have been a daunting and scary endeavor. From the very first conversation we had with Daren and Randy, our minds were put at ease. They were incredibly understanding of our situation and were genuinely excited for us and the move. They took the time to get to know us and immediately got to work on finding us a home, even though we were still in another state.

On a weekend visit to DC, Daren drove us around to several condo showings, doubling as a knowledgable tour guide describing the various neighborhoods and pointing out notable landmarks. Our visit was brief and unfortunately we were not able to find the right condo, but Daren and Randy kept visiting condos on our behalf, calling us over FaceTime to view the properties virtually. They were not only extremely friendly and fun to meet with, but they were also very thoughtful and critical of the properties we viewed remotely.

To highlight one example of their meticulousness, during a visit to a new condo building they went to 5 or 6 units, splitting up so one of them could jump up and down while the other was in the lower unit to test the noise level (their idea). Their level of dedication and forethought was invaluable, and their service went above and beyond any realtor experience we’ve ever had or could even expect. We eventually found our condo (virtually), and Daren and Randy supported us through the entire closing process. My husband and I were referred to Randy and Daren in spring of 2023 when we were looking to purchase our first home and we are so glad we found them! We met with a few other potential realtors, but ultimately felt that Randy and Daren understood best what we were looking for and had a communication style we trusted. They took the time to meet with us many times even before we decided to work with them and were prepared with questions about our house and neighborhood priorities. We wanted to find a house in a walkable community with a neighborhood feel, but still walking distance to a metro for easy-access to DC - Randy and Daren understood what we meant immediately and even mentioned some of the same towns and neighborhoods we had thought of, too.
