Let's say you wanted to go to a bar that was unpretentious but really had both amazing staff and superb drinks. Then this would be it. It's a really great neighborhood bar. You won't get a meal here but that's OK. You will get great service from a team that's like family who truly wants you to enjoy the experience and the amazing liquid libations. Ask about pairing beer with liquor because it takes great knowledge to do that. It's probably one of the best curated beer selections available. And don't worry if you're not sure about the beer you want because they probably have one for every palette. It's refreshing to know that this place is available in DC. Locals know, I'm sure, but if you're in town for a visit, stop by and enjoy. Parking could be tough, but you'll appreciate not driving here to truly enjoy the experience. I'm definitely coming back and would highly recommend it.

It was a nice late night spot to get a drink after a long day. A relaxing vibe with a helpful bartender and unique and delicious drinks.

If you are thinking of what bar to go to in D.C., look no more, as this is the place. Here is why you need to check this place out: The vibe: it's the perfect mix of neighborhood bar and upscale drinking spot. It's not pretentious, but it's definitely a nice place. It's cozy, designed well, elevated, and welcoming all at the same time!!! Alcohol selection: they have some great spirits here and know how to make one hell of a cocktail. You'll surely enjoy any drink you order! Service: here is where they truly stand out. The staff is very welcoming, personable, and attentive. They truly care about their customers here, even if you are not a regular. Here is an example of how great their service is:

I live in NYC and was visiting D.C. for a few nights on a work trip. We ended up at Crown & Crow and had an amazing time. I unfortunately ended up leaving my very expensive eyeglasses there - I have these specialized glasses that treat a unique vision issue I have.

When I realized I lost my glasses, man did it feel rough. Not only would it be expensive to replace them, but it would take me a while to get a new pair given how specialized they are, and although I can see without glasses, it's a huge strain on my eyes to do so.

I reached out to the bar the next day and left a voicemail, and as it happens, the owner of the bar, Brian Harrison, saw my glasses on a table and put them away for me. Not only this, but he overnight mailed them to me back to NYC and paid for insurance coverage through UPS in case they got lost or damaged in transit. All of this on dime!!!

How often do you see this kind of service? For real, this is true hospitality. He seriously is a lifesaver and saved me weeks of straining my eyes and having to lay out a lot of $$$ for new glasses.

Guys, do yourselves a favor and come drink at Crown & Crow. You'll have amazing drinks in a great ambiance and receive better service than you can get at any D.C. bar. I will...

We recently hosted our welcome party for our daughters wedding at the Crown and Crow, and we couldn't be more pleased with how everything turned out. From the moment we began planning, the events team made us feel incredibly welcomed. They were attentive to our needs and ensured that every detail was taken care of, which made the entire experience about as stress-free and enjoyable as it can be, given the size of the party we were planning, about 130 people.

One of the standout aspects was how accommodating the venue was, especially for our guests who required wheelchairs and elevators to access the space. The staff handled everything smoothly, ensuring that everyone was comfortable and had easy access to all areas. This level of care and consideration was truly appreciated and made all the difference in ensuring that all of our guests could fully enjoy the celebration.

The bartending team also deserves high praise. They were efficient, professional, and friendly, keeping everyone’s glasses filled and the mood lively throughout the evening. Whether it was crafting cocktails or simply serving drinks with a smile, they were on top of their game and added to the festive atmosphere.

Finally, we were absolutely blown away by how stunning the venue looked. The ambiance provided the perfect setting for our party.

Overall, we couldn’t have asked for a better place to kick off our welcome party. A huge thank you to the team for ensuring we had a memorable event. We would highly recommend this venue to anyone looking to host a special event. ...

Update: after leaving my review I was contacted by the owner and the error was corrected and a refund issued. I am grateful for the quick response (and sorry I had to engage publicly to get in touch - as I had tried email and social media I just didn't know how else). I adjusted my review here accordingly because we really liked the place and drinks when we were there.

We went to the Crown & Crow a few weeks ago and had a very good time and great drinks. But when I later checked my card statement I realised that I was double billed. They billed me for the cheque before adding the tip and then for the full amount again plus tip. It wasn't just a temporary charge - both charges stayed on my statement.

Mistakes can happen - no problem. So I wrote to them politely via the email they post on their website. I got no response, so a week or so later I wrote again to follow up (again, emails get lost/overlooked, fair enough). Again, no response. Okay, so I contacted them on Social Media via a direct message. Again, no response. As said, I appreciate that mistakes can happen - but they have double charged me and despite me getting in touch three times with them, now, over a month later, they still have the money they owe me back. I have now lost my patience - that is just not acceptable and really...
