Abe's Gifts DC — Local services in Washington

Yesterday I ordered the Hanoi egg cafe but It came out the order wasn’t exactly like the photo on the screen which they put up to advertise. Then, I said to the girl who made my order that I once tried the Hanoi Egg coffee and I surely knew what it looks like. She said that the store just have this (the thing I got is so popular Viets coffee , and not the one Hanoi egg coffee). She added, the one I said it had the macchiato topping and it might have in another location but not here. She knew the photo it was misled but... In the end I gotta take the one I didn’t like and asked her to change to the regular iced coffee. I was not happy then I forgot to take the photo to put up here.

I would not come here again. And would not recommend to anyone. My friend who came with me yesterday said at least the girl took my order needed to explained me what she had for the Hanoi Egg Cafe before I ordered it. I had a really nice experience at Abe’s Gift during our visit to DC. The store had a calm and welcoming vibe, and all the staff members were super friendly and polite. What stood out the most was that they gave a free gift to everyone, which was such a sweet and thoughtful gesture. I was especially interested in Trump merchandise, and I was impressed by both the variety and the pricing. The items were much more affordable compared to other gift shops we visited in DC. I was particularly happy to find that the inauguration items were being sold at half (50%) their original price, such a great deal. Overall, I was very happy with the service and would recommend this place to anyone...

I come here often especially on a rainy day because it's located in my building, so it's very convenient. I usually order Banh Mi. I've had the Pork, Beef, and Chicken, and my favorite is the Pork Banh Mi with Sweet Chili Sauce.

The good: It's freshly made, and pretty flavorful with the pickled radishes, cilantro, and jalapenos. I enjoy dipping it with the sweet chili sauce for extra flavor and spice.

The bad: The bread could be better, and wish they would use baguette instead of the bread they currently use.
