The resort itself was amazing especially because it was just before Christmas and everything was decorated throughout ! Snowing all the time and really made you feel the Christmas spirit ! As for the hockey tournament part well that was a different story !The rink was nice in a little barn like setting ! Very well maintained ! But the spectator portion was god awful !! The tournament was run very poorly and no one to talk to about complaints ! The officiating was bad too no calls all the way through ! Games getting out of hand !! The only ones around to complain to were kids running the rink because the hockey director was on holiday for that particular tournament !! This is why the tournament was not run correctly for sure ! You don't leave teenagers alone to run a hockey tournament I'm sorry but you don't !! It was a shame too because I would have gone back there but not for a tournament ! This is an older rink, perhaps built as part of a multi purpose resort, and used for tournament style hockey and figure skating. Ice surface , boards, and parking very good. High quality access road to the resort 12 miles from major North/South interstate hyway. This is all part of a major ski area, beautiful surroundings in central New Hampshire, with several large restaurants, condos, etc, part of the facility. No grandstand for spectators, but spacious room to watch around the boards on the same level as the ice.
