We visited Waterville Valley from 12/26-12/29. We ended up leaving early because of so many bad experiences. Coyote grill was unfortunately, one of them. We made reservations 2 weeks in advance based on recommendations from friends. The ambience of the restaurant was very nice and we were so excited when we arrived. That turned out to be the best part of the meal and experience. We ordered drinks, my cocktail came back quite awful to the point I sent it back (something I have never done) Then, we ordered chicken wings for appetizer and that was the best thing we ate. My husband and I both ordered the steak tips medium rare which came with mashed potatoes, carrots and asparagus. Our son ordered a plain cheese pizza. The steak tips came out not hot, there was a crisp over the mashed potatoes as if it were sitting for quite some time. Neither of us could even eat the steak tips because they were hard as a rock and well, well, done. On to the pizza, something very simple but came out 15 minutes AFTER the steak tip dinners. Waitress told us there was a mistake someone took the pizza to another table so they were remaking it. In the meantime our son was trying to have some of our dinner so he could at least eat something while waiting but he couldn't eat them either. His pizza finally arrives and it is way under cooked. At this point we just wanted to leave. He ate what he could. Upon getting the check, we were pretty surprised that the restaurant didn't even offer to at least remove the pizza from the bill. There was nothing offered. Live and learn, we won't be back. Very pricey for...

Coyote Grill has a few clearly marked gluten-free entrees. The wait staff and the chefs will make extra effort to make your gluten-free needs extremely tasty. Some of the entrees are relatively creative. They use local, seasonal vegetables such as winter squash in the fall. My wife and I ate there two nights in a row because the first night was so good. The first night I had the seared salmon and my wife had the almond oatmeal crusted chicken. We also had a special appetizer which was whipped feta. This whipped fed appetizer was very interesting unique and enjoyable. If you like Greek cuisine please ask for it. The second night my wife had tenderloin and I had the almond oatmeal crusted chicken. But we also needed to have the whipped feta appetizer a second time. It was that good. Some seating has nice views of the mountains but not all seating does. This restaurant is a little pricey but it's well worth it if...

I have never been treated so poorly as by Dan. He is the bartender and was rude and threatening. Our group of 12 arrived at 8:30 (the restaurant closes at 9) and asked for drinks and appetizers. The host said the kitchen was closed and that they couldn’t accommodate us. At this point we said we would split up and two of us found seats at the bar. Some of the others were seated at a table and the rest left the restaurant as the host said they could not accommodate the rest of our group. We felt as if Dan was upset as we could hear his comments to the host about our group. The conversation was extremely unwelcoming. We asked Dan about his comments and he said “you can leave now”. What? Yes we were a large group and it was 8:30 but really? You’re telling customers to leave? In an agitated tone? Coyote Grill management you...

My husband and I ordered take out from here tonight and we go a kids meal pasta and meatballs, a kids meal cheese quesadilla with sour cream on the side, and buffalo wings. Also a piece of the cheese cake. I understand mistakes happen, but every single part of our order was messed up. They gave us BBQ wings instead of buffalo, BLUE CHEESE for the quesadilla instead of sour cream when we asked twice for sour cream even when we got there, and one tiny tablespoon of sauce on the pasta and meatballs (see picture) Also to pay almost $15 for a cheese cake to get the tiniest piece was also disappointing. I am not one to complain but the way the world is nowadays with prices, it’s disappointing to receive every part of your order wrong after paying top dollar for it all.

Cozy pub with a really nice menu. Nice beer selection including good draft beers. One friend had fried tofu Napoleon. It was delicious, the Portabella mushroom with balsamic vinegar reduction was perfect. My other friend got the salmon which was OK but the mashed potatoes had a celery root flavor which was really great. The burger looks good and I had the chicken sandwich with fries. The chicken was tasty and the fries were crispy. The service was friendly and responsive. It was ski lodge prices so little more expensive than your average pub.
