I've only been to this store chain a few times, but this is the first time I've gone into this particular store. I sat in my car for about 10 minutes, before going in, just doing some things on my phone. The very first thing I noted about this particular store, is that two of the staff were out front bouncing around one of the balls that had in the containers out front. Just seeing them playing around instead of working, had already given me a fairly good assumption on how this store's likely run, or maybe I should say, not run.
I had 3 hours to spare while my nieces were at an activity nearby, so decided to get some Christmas shopping done early since there is a lot of shopping in that area. Not knowing this store very well and not being in a rush to go anywhere, I was in there a good amount of time. But i feel like most of that time was spent just trying to figure out what a product costs, even just trying to figure out what an item was.
The only items I found had any sort of price listed, were items that were on sale because they either had a sticker or a sign. Nothing else, and I literally mean nothing else, gave me any inkling into how much it was. Being on a very limited budget, it's important for me to know these things so I can compare and keep track.
I ended up keeping my selection of items fairly low, mostly because i just didn't know how much things were. I likely would've chosen more, had they had the information shown. When I got to the cash register I asked if the cashier could check the prices on some of the things I had. I wish I took a picture of his face when I asked this because I don't think I've ever seen the look of pure hatred, before meeting him. As if simply my existence was a bother to him and believe me, I've encountered a LOT of unhappy, disgruntled people throughout my life! I felt so uncomfortable that I didn't even ask him to scan everything; I just wanted to get out of there.
But hey, at least the store has a good selection of...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI came to your store in Brookfield to return an apple watch cover. The cashier had issues with the return & had to start over several times. He scanned all my receipts but the machine wasn't cooperating so I'm assuming he forced it at the end. Today we realized that the corner shelves we bought were not going to work so I brought them all to Waukesha for a credit. "Manager" told me she can offer store credit as my items show already returned & that that was my choice else I can leave. Needless to say I'm incredibly upset as she was RUDE as hell from the moment she was called to the register. I can understand she's very young but she needs to be properly trained and made aware of any software issues you may be experiencing as we have NOT returned ANY to the shelfs. How else would we have them? Unless your rude manager is implying we stole them? Terrible management

Ā Ā Ā Read moreItās not the individual stores fault, but with inflation they are no longer selling products that are $5 and below. Itās disappointing because that was the original point of the store, as the name clearly says. Most of the products now are not considerably on the cheap end, they are prices that you will find anywhere else for things. Itās supposed to be a dollar store type of store, but with recent changes it just isnāt. Staff friendliness was not great, they were sitting on their phone. The point of a job is to be working, and I couldnāt get away with that at my job nor...
