G-Cue Billiards — Local services in West Chicago Township

If I could give this establishment zero stars that's what they deserve. The service is absolutely horrible and the I've caught the bartenders several times trying to pad the bill. And when confronted about it threatened to call the police. I came there and ordered a Paloma and was not satisfied with how the drink was made. I took one sip and immediately let the waitress know I was dissatisfied. She informed me she would talk to the bartender to see what could be done. The solution was for her to add another shot to my drink with light even asking me if I wanted to do that then charging me 8 more dollars for the added shot even though I did not ask for that. I then went up to the car myself to make a complaint about them adding a whole extra shot with out my okay then charging me for it. Another bartender ended up tossing the drink out then giving me 2 beers instead which are $6 each. The Paloma was originally $16 plus $8 for the extra shot. I never even tasted the drink when the extra shot was put in there! But they still charged me for the drink and extra shot. Although they did not charge me for the beers it still was a whole $12 Difference I was charged for when I went to the bartender to explain this she was extremely rude and dismissive and quite frankly she seemed prejudice. She threatened to call the police several times when I was just trying to explain that I was over charged. In the climate of the world we live in today I found it extremely degrading and disheartening that I as a black woman was threatened to have the police called on me for something so minuscule. I will never walk a foot in this establishment again and don't recommend anyone who appreciates their hard earned money and anyone who does not appreciate being threatened by the Chicago police department to never walk foot into this...

I went in with one other friend. We were given a table to play on fairly quickly! However, during our time playing, the owner came up to us out of nowhere and pointed out scuff marks on the table (that were not from us, and had been there since before we got the table). He then told us very rudely that he owns these tables, he bought these tables and if we scuff it again we are out- and walked away. It was off putting but we kept playing, then after we were done we paid our tab, & got our license back (have to give them one to use a table). After we paid and were leaving, the same man chased us to the door and tried to block us from leaving, saying we didn't pay and demanded to see our receipt- which my friend had ready as we had literally just paid, so she showed it to him and he just walked away as if he didn't yell at us. Price-wise, this place is outrageous. We played for 3 hours, and had one meal and 2 drinks each... with our bill we could have gone anywhere else and played 2x as long and eaten 2x as much.

Wouldn't go back, hostile owner,...

My lady and I stopped here to get a quick bite to eat. We’ve been here several times before and usually the service is Ok but we got a ride waitress this particular night. We order tenders, fries and moz sticks along with a drink. After receiving our food, we didn’t hear from her until the bill came. I noticed she charged us a tip (which wasn’t a problem) but when I called her over to inquire about it, she told me that it was a 20% gratuity. Now I’ve been to this bar several times and never heard of this til that night. Didn’t argue with it bc I was gonna tip her more in cash than what she charged so she actually got less than what I planned on giving. But I’ve never heard of a 20% gratuity on bar food for two ppl. I guess she didn’t think we were gonna tip her for whatever reasons. It’s a shame I won’t be going back bc it’s one of my favorite spots in the West Loop. But when u assume, this is what happens. Great place for pool tho. Just stay away...
