I normally don’t write reviews, but I felt compelled to share this experience.
I visited this location to return a couple of items I purchased just two days prior for an upcoming trip. The items — a two-piece outfit (which I realized wasn’t flattering on me) and a pair of yellow earrings — were unworn, with all tags and packaging still intact with a receipt.
Upon entering, I was greeted warmly by two women, which I appreciated. However, things quickly took a turn when I attempted the return. The woman with the short haircut — who, based on other one-star reviews has been rude and appears to be either a manager or in a supervisory role — immediately stated, “We don’t accept earring returns.”
This was frustrating, especially since the company’s return policy clearly states: "With your receipt, items with original tags attached and in new, unworn condition may be returned within 30 days of in-store purchase. After 30 days or without an original receipt, we will issue an exchange or store credit at current selling price." There is no mention of excluding jewelry in that policy. So, to have someone arbitrarily deny a return — especially for an unworn, fully packaged item — feels like poor customer service and a lack of consistency in enforcing company guidelines.
To make matters worse, I was told to return to the original location where I made the purchase to “see if they will take it.” I only went to this location due to it being close to my job and taking care of this on my lunch hour. While I may just keep the earrings (they were only $3), it's the principle that bothers me.
I want to be clear — this isn’t a reflection on all It's Fashion Metro locations. The Broad River location, where I originally made the purchase, was a much better experience. The staff there were friendly, helpful, and even took extra care to wrap my accessories in tissue paper — a small gesture that made a big impression.
So while I’m not blacklisting the entire chain, I’ll certainly think twice about returning to this...
Read moreIf I could add no stars, I would. All the women that were working today weren’t polite at all. Starting from me entering, no hi no nothing with just glaring. The cashier with a shaved haircut was the rudest of them all. I went in with my younger daughter and the cashier kept yelling from the register that she couldn’t “wander” when she would only be a few inches away from me. I continued to try and find something, as it was my first time there and I really wanted to see if I liked the store. My daughter slightly touched something and AGAIN the cashier said something. I told her I was watching her (my daughter), anywho they made me and another lady leave because they said it closed at 6, neither of us were able to try on our clothes and they started turning off the lights. Horrible experience and now I know why there’s ever anyone at this specific...
Read moreNormally don't write reviews but this was a horrible experience. On Sat 6/01 at 6:30pm, upon walking there was no greeting but that was okay due ti the sales lady with another customer. I walked to the plus size section and found an orange dress on the wall near the back of the sales floor. Once I located the other sales associate I asked politely could she help get one of the dressing down off the hook. She proceeded to look at me and much attitude and ask "For Who". Sh asked this question multiple times, I started to walk out but I needed this dress for church the next day. I felt embarrassed and ashamed. I purchased this dress for my special needs daughter and felt ridiculed and body shamed. I usually shop in this store but I will not be shopping...
