I will admit that it took me way too long to join F45 Sunset Strip which I should’ve started long ago. Only after 10 classes I feel good physically and most importantly mentally. I am happy with the multiple workouts that change frequently along with the track stations. It does get pretty intense and for me the video screens help me tremendously to show me what workout is coming up. They do have 2 trainers at all classes to help with the volume of members and to be of service incase members are doing workouts incorrectly they’re able to assist and give feedback.
The only concern I had recently which bothered me was an instructor by the name of Alexandra told the class to “STFU” as she was trying to get the class to settle down and not talk so loudly so she could show a post-class stretch routine. C’mon now adrenaline’s pumping and it’s expected after a 60 minute workout that members begin socializing. Personally I thought it was uncalled for and disrespectful even though it wasn’t directed at me. It was spoken at a group level which is unprofessional. It’s not how she portrays herself and works for the public. It does make me upset that people come to class to work on their mental health, weight loss, self-confidence, insecurity issues or maybe just to feel apart of something then you have someone like her belittle you. You cant say vulgar things to members who are paying a lot of money. It is not okay and I hope other trainers who were on sight would speak with her about her poor behavior. It made me very uncomfortable. I felt bad for the 2 new members who were testing out the class and am curious if they will be back.
This review isn’t good or bad I am just being honest and direct on how my first 10 classes have been so far. I will continue to come to F45 because I like it there and it is good for me to be physically active and involve myself with a community who have the same goals as I do. It keeps me...
Read moreI did the two week trial, had a great experience, but as an avid classpass user, unfortunately a membership wasn't in my budget. So I was thrilled when I saw a class available with my favorite trainer Chris on a Saturday on Classpass for affordable credits. My friend was in town and wanted to come with, she signed up on MindBody and was offered $7/7 days deal, and I was thrilled to see MindBody (which uses my same e-mail, phone number etc that the studio has) allowed me to snag that same deal and sign up for classes. But when we arrived to class, Chris -- who I adored was very cold to us. He would not let my friend use her deal because she doesn't live here (even though, MindBody allowed the purchase) and he won't let me use my deal either. I totally get this as it seemed too good to be true -- but there was a better way to handle this -- like giving us a heads up that morning so we could've canceled and scheduled a new class. Or since it was too late for us to cancel and schedule a new class when we arrived at the studio (15 minutes early btw) they could've said, hey look there was a glitch in the system, we can't honor you coming to any more classes with this deal, but we'll allow you to work out today. Instead they charged us an additional $18. And maybe I wouldn't have minded that they did this, is I guess $25 for a workout class is a good deal in Los Angeles. But what really set me over the edge and why I'm writing this review is that there was a photographer there during the class, videoing and photographing us during the entire class without our consent or even a heads up. I'm assuming this is for promo? This is SO illegal, especially in Los Angeles where most of us are professional actors who get paid to...
Read moreLove love love this place! I’ve gone to maybe 20 different gyms, classes, and various fitness studios throughout the past ten years. Some were ok, some I’ve liked, but this one I LOVE! The space is very bright and clean. The culture and workouts are very female friendly and they have a good, maybe 60/40 or even 50/50 mix of males and females, which is awesome. They offer easy and hard versions of all the workout movements and they already have weights from light to heavy set up for us at each station. I love how I don’t have to plan my workout, they do it for me and I just get to follow along and I get to learn new movements everyday. You get to do many movements each workout as you move from station to station and they switch it up everyday, so it stays interesting and you get a good mix of cardio and weights. I get an amazing workout and leave sweaty every time. The coaches are all super friendly and very knowledgeable; they motivate us and they come around and correct our form if needed which is super valuable. They are all awesome and have great energy and sometimes even dance to the music, which is hard not to do because the music is sooo good! It’s a fun friendly space where members will often high five and chat with each other afterwards, bonding about how hard it was. It’s everything you could ever want in a local gym and more :) I highly highly...
