I got the Chicken MBT. i admit i was overwhelmed by the delicious menu and opted for the very first thing listed. chicken...mozzarella...basil pesto...tomato...ciabatta. how can you possibly go wrong with that?
Well, i dont think you could go wrong with anything here. omgoodness delicious sandwich mecca. i love that a majority of the options are familiar favorites with a twist. referring to said menu to write this review (I visited here with a friend pre-NYE) I'm actually in awe by the selection. you see, i came hankry - hungry-cranky. low blood sugar, overwhelming menu, staff member right next to board asking if you are ready...ahhh ill take...that (first thing listed). I honestly didnt see most of the menu till right now, tbh. upon reflection now.. i really am salivating over the thought of the Steak BLT...or the Spicy Lemongrass Steak Banh Mi...or the Peruvian Steak Sandwich . Okay apparently I just want steak in general right now. but ya, tell me all these options don't sound delicious?
I was asked if I would like any samples. man, mendocino farms, you just met me and you already know me so well! memory is failing me but i think i got a beet and quinoa salad that was quite tasty. after i ordered i was handed a buzzer and we sat outside on a faux grass seat. charming. my buzzer went off almost instantly.
...and my selection, though somewhat by default, was a solid one at that. so fresh, so tasty. would...
Read moreWhoa. I was not expecting to love this place. But I will be back- it just might be my go-to favorite sandwich in WeHo!
Now I rarely talk about this but let me tell you about the service. The cashier, Jonathan, was extremely friendly and helpful. I placed my order for dine-in and noticed that they call your name when your order is ready so you can come pick it up. I sat in the back of the restaurant and never heard my name, because he went out of his way to bring it to me with a smile! Then, halfway through my sandwich, he comes up to me, politely says, “I’m so sorry to bother you, but do you need anything else? Extra napkins, etc?” I was shocked and said no thank you but so kind of you to ask! It’s like restaurant service but at a fast casual spot. Lastly, another one of the team members (i didn’t catch his name), stopped me as I made my way to the garbage can to dump my tray. “I got that for you”, he said with a smile. I was so impressed with the level of attention and service. It’s these little details that go a long way in someone’s experience.
I’m so happy I stopped in. It’s easy to find fast casual sandwhich options, but not ones that are this affordable and in such a pleasant atmosphere....
Read moreThis was my first visit of the Mendocino Farms in the WeHo location. It's located in a complex, so it was very easy for us to park. And if I remember correctly, it was free for the first 2 hours. Definitely a great place for lunch.
The restaurant is way bigger than the one in downtown. Service was great. I had the three little pigs, basically they include three different types of bacons in the sandwich. I am never a fan of bacon or pork in general, and I have no idea why I went with this. But there were just way too many options and I got distracted. :) Don't get me wrong, it had this rich flavor. The guatemala sauce was a bit over powering. Still a great one though. My friend had a turkey sandwich, that was really blend. Guess the healthy version had its downfalls. :P
PS: their korean kimchi sandwich looks really good on picture. I might order that next time. Also you can try out all their soups and salads for free. They are really generous with the...
