Edit: Gave the shop a second chance. Had a much better experience the second time. The guy at the counter was helpful and energetic.
Keeping it at 4 stars due to poor first impression.

Felt unwelcome Was not acknowledged by any employee as a potential customer at all
Stopped by for the first time today to see what sort of games and supplies they had as well as what sort of game nights they offered. When I walked in I made eye contact with the employee at the counter and he did not say anything, but continued to talk to someone else about a game. I began to look around at some of the games while waiting for the employee to finish talking to the other person, or at least give me some sort of acknowledgement that I was there. After a couple of minutes of waiting for some sort of communication I went around to the wall at the counter to look at some of the trading cards, but the employee and the other person continued to talk to each other. I had to squeeze behind the other person and said "excuse me", but neither of them made any communication one way or another. At this point I was horribly unimpressed with the experience, but I decided to try looking at the cards in the display case that was right in front of the employee to see if I could get some sort of acknowledgement about my existence as a potential customer, but nothing happened. The employee continued to talk to the other person about the same game. I decided to just leave and as soon as I put my hand on the door to leave the employee finally acknowledge me with a "Have...
Read moreI came here seeking an expert opinion on Canran Dixzoulet's 14th century work on expository precipitous ambergris production as it relates to symbiotic metaphysical humours produced by Moores in the reconquisto. It's not his most famous work, but I thought surely a sage, let alone an entire shoppe devoted to sagely affairs, could provide a bit of enlightenment on the 14th chapter which becomes somewhat muddied by references to orientalists and gypsy women. I've never found either to be reliable sources of information.
Upon hearing my question, the shorter of the two sages suggested I purchase an envelope of magic cards - that these would answer my question.
The next full moon, with the blood of a virgin hawk upon my elbows and knees, I open the magic oracle.
Friends, our way ahead is thru black swamps & red mountains, beset upon all sides by horrid winged beasts and godless creatures that burrow thru the earth when tapped at a cost of 2 green mana.
I am sorry that I unleashed this upon us. It would have been better not to know. This is the great...
Read moreThey have a great selection of board games and miniatures and the staff is quite knowledgeable in both. The card selection is okay and also not as much staff knowledge with the cards. The prices can be a bit high on some products, which is fine for a small business trying to compete with larger retailers. The main issue is in how they run events. I have been to a few card events and one miniatures event, both of which were not managed well. I went to a MTG booster draft that took over 6 hours, 40 minutes of that time we were just waiting on pairings at one point. I played in a Warhammer event that had similar management and ended up not being able to finish because it was taking so long inbetween rounds. So I would say, I recommend purchasing products here especially board games but maybe find somewhere else...
