I was going to share a 4 star review last week, but tonight this sign appeared. I guess the owner is really too cheap to pay high enough wages to staff it 24/7. The only reason I joined three years ago was because it was open late nights. Now I am strongly considering ending my membership, even though it is not a horrible facility. The constant schedule changes are making it not worth it. I could get some issues during the pandemic, or closing for some holidays, but not this and not anymore. I actually like exercising there because everyone is pretty easygoing. It is a disappointment. Here are some other issues: It is always way too hot--especially in summer, but also in winter too. They have the heaters blowing over the cardio areas in the winter. Air circulation is bad the further you go, so that the northeast corner is stuffy and excessively hot. The drinking fountain water is warm, including the bottle refilling stations. They have the weirdest TV issues. Sometimes all of them are off completely; sometimes random channels are off. They used to have Telemundo on, but about two or three months ago that switched to ESPN Deportes. That would be fine except they already had two sets showing ESPN Deportes, so now there are four. With most ESPN and ESPN Deportes programming the same, that makes usually 7 sets playing the same thing. Why they didn't change them to TNT during the Jazz playoff run or Fox 13 or Univision or another Spanish language channel, I don't know. The front entry overhead light bar has been off at night for at least 6 months. If it wasn't always extremely busy when In-and-Out next door, I would be concerned for my safety. The staff keep the facility fairly clean, and the other customers have really become more cognizant about cleaning off since the pandemic. But that has meant that there is usually at least one paper towel machine that is empty whenever I workout. Never the same one, but usually one. The free weights are usually well organized, and the machines are rarely...
Read moreSooo I usually go to the tville or Murray location. I decided to try this one since it’s close to my parents house and I had to stop there. Anyway, I did my workout and I went tanning after. I went into the room, closed the door, because I had to take off my clothes, duh. I tanned for 9 minutes and when I got out the door WAS WIDE OPEN. The chances of me not closing it are ZERO. I am always so aware of my surroundings and I’m on top of my safety (as much as you can be) I got up noticed it was open and I was terrified. I jumped into my clothes so fast. I didn’t even put my socks on I just wanted out. I went up to the two male workers and told them what happened and they did their “best” to help. I was shaking and about to cry, my voice was cracking. All the said was “I’m so sorry let us know if it happens again” I do not want to get these two guys in trouble at all - I know it was a female the reaction would have been different. BUT that can NEVER happen. Not even one time. One time is too many times. I am not taking a risk for it to even happen again, I won’t go back. I feel soooo violated. I called the corporate office and they were closed, so I called the location and asked for a manager but he had just left. So I called the tville location to get advice and the guy there was SO APOLOGETIC and told me to definitely say/do something. I hope there is cameras. I hope no one is tanning and ends up hurt. I’m calling again on Monday but I cannot shake this feeling of being watched or about to be hurt. Who knows what could have happened. Now I’m...
Read more08/18/2032 I came in, and I approached the counter, there were three people behind the counter and one person at the counter getting assistance, I stood there, and they looked at me but they didn't even say hi to me. So I said: I want to look at the black vault room, and one of the guys said okay. I went and looked around, I came out and I had noticed a lady was signing in with her phone, so I sat down and downloaded the app and tried to get it to work. I could not get the app to work. So I approached the counter again, and they just stood and stared at me. There was no one else there but me and those three employees. The girl was sitting on the counter, none of them acknowledged me said hello or anything to me until I said I'd like to sign up for a membership. I had my phone out and I'm like I can't get the app to work and she kind of scrolls her figure across my app and said you got to do this and got to do that. Well it wouldn't work. So I said will you please sign me up at the counter, and she said we cannot do that, you have to do it through the app. Well I called another planet fitness when I walked out the door, and they told me you can be signed up at the desk. Why was I flat out blatantly lied to? I walked out without the membership and felt like I was being ignored because I'm older....
