Osaka Japan — Restaurant in West Valley City

This is my favorite spot in the mall food court. The teriyaki chicken is my favorite. The chicken is super tender and the sauce is the perfect amount of sweet and tangy. The rice is cooked perfectly. The veggies served are mostly cabbage and broccoli, which isn't very fancy or necessarily nutritious but it adds a nice crunch to the meal. I like to order the chicken and Shrimp because it doesn't cost extra, and it's nice to have another type of protein. You can also add some spice to the meal with siracha or chili sauce if you're a spicy lover. The portions are huge enough for dinner and a filling lunch for the next day.

The only negative I have is that sometimes the management seems to be rather overbearing with the cooks and it makes the service look uncomfortable. Although that has improved in my most recent visit.

I eat here often mostly on Sundays because lots of other places are closed. A few weeks ago we went for some delicious fresh teriyaki and the power had just gone out in the food court area. I rarely carry cash so didn’t have a way to pay for my food as the system was down. To my surprise two of the employees recognized me even with the lights out and said I could just pay next time and gave me my usual order. It’s great to have a place that treats their regular customers with respect and consideration. I’ve been going here for years and this experience went above and beyond my expectations! Cashier customer service I got was from a girl wearing glasses she couldn't give me a refill out of curiosity after buying food and drink from here.just thought it was really rude even after asking her nicely if she can please provide me with a refill. She just said no I cant. Even I advised her same restaurants different malls gave us a refill as long as we bought from them the meal and drink. She just kept repeatedly saying no that's them not us. So I advise if you this restaurant don't go to valley fair. South towne and fashion place give you free refills...
