Customer service here is not good. I was trying to check out my 2 item purchase and was behind a person who was buying a lot of items (over $300 worth). I understood that I was going to wait a while. No problem. During my wait, the management asked one of the cahsiers to open a lane. She proceeded to go to the lane directly beside where I was standing and, in fact, had to walk around me to get into the register area. She proceeded to count her drawer and then leave, never acknowledging me standing in the line. I continued to wait to check out. Ok, no biggie, I thought maybe she was just counting the drawer for some unknown reason. When the person. In front of me completed her purchase the supervisor who was also helping that cashier bag the immense number of items looked at me and said, "we are closing this lane and you will have to go to the other lane." Now, mind you, I have stood in this lane for 10 minutes, and no one was behind me! It would take 2 minutes to ring up my 2 item purchase. Instead, I was ushered to the lane where the cashier counted the drawer as she came back to check me out. I'm not sure who is running that place, but nothing about that transactional experience was customer friendly. Why wasn't I just checked out when she counted the drawer if I was going to be shuffled to her lane anyway? It was the worst experience I have had in a Hobby Lobby, and I definitely won't be back...
Read moreI am quite the crafter anymore and one I've had a bad day my favorite thing to do is to go to the craft store and look and shop. In mind I just said look 1st, I can spend 3 to 4 hours in a craft store because they're still large and because I do a variety of crafts. I also know that in craft stores they hold one item in 3 or 4 different parts of the store so sometimes you have to go to multiple ends of the store to find the best deal of the same product, yes you can't find better deals different brands may be but better deals. Without being said I swear it never fails if I am there for a long time even over an hour I have employees or "secret shoppers" following me around the store. It's kind of a bummer because I'm not a thief but at the same time I do it to my advantage. If you're gonna take the time to follow me around your store because you think I'm stealing then I'm gonna take you up-and-down every single aisle of your store for at least 10 to 15 minutes per hour so be ready for a good walk I guess it gives them job security right?? With this being said yes I get there point of it too they don't know what I'm there doing they don't understand what my day is had or what I'm going through. So I understand they are just doing their job, but keep in mind every person that spends over an hour in a store sometimes just needs a break from their own...
Read moreWhen did the fabric department take such a quality in merchandise nose dive? The upholstery fabric selection has been reduced down to just a couple of racks...None of it was anything approaching what should be this seasons offerings according to current trend...You can't even say that they are sticking to classic timless as focal...Clearly was last to several years offerings back....AND THE QUALITY WAS ABYSMAL! the lowest end of available upholstery stock...Pretty disappointing..even the regular sewing materials seemed like much was old stock and much was of lower quality...also have the remanant mark down section, out of the department, along the back wall ...near the floor tucked back in the yarn department....so logical...clearly this is a newer store and maybe the other departments won't be the let down this stores fabric department is...Are other Hobby Lobby stores changing the fabric department or have in the last few mohths since I have been in one who knows...but if they are sticking fabric based on demographics of store locations then I am even more disappointed in them...if it is corporation wide, all stores...I guess the fabric department is now geared to the disposable culture of as cheap as possible for a look for a year or two instead of quality to last...
