First off, I love the atmosphere!! No kids allowed was PERFECT! Vanessa was the BEST server, so sweet, such a kind human and I really loved her genuine kindness! Speedy service and yummy drinks, super cheap yet delish food, easy order and just the right kind. I'm very picky and was hesitant to do pizza but they made it easy (1/2 and 1/2 for my friend and I), the texture was PERFECT and the temp, cheesy just right, crust thin was ahhh. We had like, 12 alcoholic drinks too lol.
So, this was THE best birthday party, ever! Oh I know I'm an older adult but, nobody's ever too old to enjoy a good time! Bowling was awesome and they didn't mind I brought a few birthday party favors and my own cake (cuz I ordered everything else there). I was sooo happy to see clean and updated, functional lanes, fair scoring systems and crystal clear TV screens! I wasn't overstimulated with the lights or music. They were playing really good pop music too. I didn't realize we picked a lane that was already reserved so we moved quickly lol. My bad. The ball area returned easily and the weights on the balls were clearly listed which made it super. The outside area is so cool! Loved the snow and fireplace area so we could chill and smoke, and Vanessa constantly checked on us making sure if we needed more drinks or food which was really impressive service!!
I'm a little bummed we didn't get to do axes (these fill way fast, and the other group i was going to go with had reserved but I didn't bother, because I knew I was going to come back!!) Watching them was good enough for now 😄 and we played pool, will give darts a go later too! Best adult entertainment night EVER. THANK...
Read moreCame to the West Valley Location for a snack and to play some games. Linda was the bartender and was great! She was not only handling the bar and running drinks out to the floor but was also trying to manage the front desk for customers coming in to pay for bowling lanes. The general manager, Dustin, was on the floor chatting socially and on his phone the entire time. At no point was he assisting customers, and it was desperately needed so Linda could do her job serving customers instead of running around on the floor as well as taking care of the front desk. After standing at the bar waiting for Linda for some time while she was at the front desk she came back and apologized for the wait and took care of me. I asked if the guy in orange (which she later told me his name was Dustin) was the manager, and she confirmed he was the general manager. I commented to her that he was worthless and thanked her for doing a great job. He overheard me saying this and not only rudely told me and my group to go somewhere else but also repeatedly called me a Bi**h. I have worked in the service industry for 26 years, bartended for 16years, and managed at every establishment I’ve worked. I’m absolutely appalled at this manager’s lack of professionalism and blatant disrespect to customers at this location. This location is close to my home, but I will not return for one reason alone, and that is Dustin. Hope this makes its way to someone that deals with this manner...
Read moreA group of friends and I have been going to Pins & Ales – Valley Fair on and off again since they opened back up in the middle of 2020, we always have a great time, until the night of 02/20/2021. The place was packed, and I mean every chair and table had someone at it and every lane, I would say 98% of people were not wearing masks. Before the 20th Pins & Ales – Valley Fair was being super safe with COVID-19 only placing people at every other bowling lane, I really enjoyed it. I have no idea what was going on on 02/20/2121 but it seemed like management said to hell with COVID-19 and the Salt Lake County and Utah Board of Health protocols. Not only was I upset with not following health guidelines, but they were allowing guest to have street shoes up on the bowling allies, along with their drinks and food. I was so thankful that going to Pins & Ales – Valley Fair was an out of the blue stop and I didn’t have my personal bowling ball and shoes. I did say something to the staff about people bowling in their street shoes and having food and drink up on the lanes, but the staff didn’t seem to care that much.
It is sad that one night can turn what was a great fun place into a hell whole. I think we will be very selective next time we go to Pins & Ales – Valley Fair, because this was one time we should have just turned around...
