Ive been going to Satsang on and off for 2 years. They offer a decent class schedule and their instructors are pleasant enough. My low rating comes from a customer service standpoint- I've bought two packages there. As a busy professional, the desire and intention to practice yoga always conflicts with a hectic schedule and often times I'm not able to use my entire class packages. I respect the time limits they put on class packages, after all- they are not a non profit company. But, I had two classes left and called in a mere 2 days after they expired. Mind you, after training intensely for a triathlon my body is aching, and I called to see if I could use not both, but ONE of my classes. I dont think it is an unreasonable thing to ask to be able to use a class 2 DAYS outsite of the expiration date. more infuriating is that it came with an unnecessary lecture on committing to practice and essentially trying to blackmail me to commit to buying ten more classes so that she can reinstate one of my two classes left.
Where is the integrity in that? As you so aptly teach, karma will be served. Customer service laws discate that an unhappy customer will tell a hundred souls if not more. Was the lousy $15 worth it to you,...
Read moreI have been enrolled in the Masters class at Satsang Yoga studio for five years. The masters class consists of men and woman who range in age from 60’s to 70’’s. Andrea conducts this class with consideration of our physical limitations. She always starts class with a thought provoking poem or soulful theme. Many of our poses are completed using a chair, blocks, and other aides to enhance our performance and make us feel like true “masters”! She provides constructive guidance and a lot of positive reinforcement. This class is a fun humorous experience and throughout the years the members have become friends! To accommodate COVID restrictions she has offered us classes in zoom to ensure our safety as well as to maintain our practice. I am often amazed how versatile Andreas instruction flows in each class. She is a dedicated professional and the best yoga...
Read moreSatsang was my first yoga class, ever. Which I am grateful for because it inspired me to keep going. Years later, I am still practicing there and also take classes at other studios. The studio is gorgeous, and the owner (Ellen) inspiring. What really sets the studio tone is the amazing variety in instructors. We get Karen, with her amazing Jivamukti influence (and foot rubs), Donna whose class is always unique and brings in meditation (something she lives by, not just "for class"). Michelle and others who do midday classes, open flows and weekends....
