Employees seem miserable, are slow, and have bad attitudes:
10/4/25 at 11:30am — Never have I waited so long in a line at Target (even on a Saturday) in my life. The self checkout had probably about 20 people in it and there were only 3 open regular lanes.
Jessie, the cashier with purple hair, decided that after my daughter and I had already been standing in her line for about two minutes that she would shut her light off and that she wouldn’t be helping us. She could have shut her light off and helped us, nobody was behind us. I then saw Jessie rolling out one of those “Target Circle” membership kiosks, the one advertising the paid membership. So I guess, priorities — sell memberships over helping paying customers right in front of you (who have a paid membership btw).
So then I go to the next lane over, I wait about 10 additional minutes (I had my husband on the phone while I waited, so it was timed) Lori (the cashier in this lane who happened to be quite old), looked flustered, worn out, and exhausted. She couldn’t lift the cat liter we had, and looked a little peeved that we dare put that up on the checkout lane (isn’t that a requirement of most jobs to be able to lift 20 lbs, unless you need reasonable accommodations?) and that she had to deal with it. Then when I asked to use the manufacturers coupon sticker that came on the outside of the liter (like I always do) she tried to tell me that they don’t take those because the barcode wouldn’t scan when she tried. I had literally just peeled it off the package on the liter.
I then told her that they always take the coupon every other time I’ve come. She told me I could go wait in line again at customer service if I wanted to use that coupon, and she refused to call a manager that could take the coupon off. I told her no, I’d wait right there. The manager came, said they absolutely accept those coupons, and then she easily took them off. No big deal. Seems like Lori just didn’t want to do the extra “work” of figuring out the coupon.
Won’t be coming back to this Target. Not worth the employees who seem to hate their jobs and have...
Read moreI am writing to express my deep disappointment and concern about a recent customer service incident that occurred at the Westminster Orchard Parkway location.
As a loyal Target customer for many years, I have always appreciated the level of service provided by your team. However, my experience today has left me extremely dissatisfied. I visited the store with a legal coupon received through the mail, and to my surprise, I was informed by Hobbi that the system was not accepting these coupons. When I raised the concern about the legality of refusing valid coupons, she simply turned away without addressing the issue.
To exacerbate the situation, Savana, the closing team lead, approached me in a confrontational manner, yelling in front of other customers. I was shocked by her behavior and asked for an explanation. Instead of providing any clarification, she insisted that I leave the store, citing an alleged disrespectful interaction with her employee. I have a disability and health issues, and the stress from this encounter triggered a panic attack, leading to a significant increase in my blood pressure and a severe headache.
My primary question is why valid and legal coupons were not accepted, as this goes against the principles of fair business practices. Furthermore, I request an investigation into the conduct of Hobbi and Savana. I believe a prompt resolution, an apology from both individuals, and compensation for this distressing experience are warranted.
It is essential to recognize that customer satisfaction is pivotal for the success of any business. I trust that Target values its customers and will take the necessary steps to address this issue promptly. I appreciate your attention to this matter and look forward to a...
Read moreI do not recommend Target because of their issues with their Red Card system. The folks who update your account information do not do so and you will never know. This happened to me. I made a purchased on my Red Card and left store with merchandise and receipt - nobody told me the sale was declined. days later I went in for medical procedure, after 3 to 4 weeks of that, I opened my mail to find a collection notice. Of course I went to pay it along with the 20$ fee they slapped on me. 3 hours later, 5 sales associates later and one abusive collection account specialist named Louis who threated to call my bank, a Target associate finally was able to accept 120.00 in cash to settle the matter. I warn you : dont get involved with their red card. They (Target) wont update the info properly or if a mistake is made they will beat you up, accuse you of wrong doing and threaten you - it is outlandish. I was hung up on, told they do not accept cash, turn away from a store when I tried to pay and treated like a crook. It was really like the third world. In the end that debit card system they have and the weird complex system of departments that manage it will cost you money. I am not a crook. I updated the account info but the person I spoke to did not save the new info. I recieved no confirmation about the info change and Target will charge you for their .mistake. You will never know until you are liable for fees. This kind of abuse after medical procedure is not what anyone needs. It's just poor business at...
