Meh, not really a reason to come back here: Overpriced food of average quality at best, with good service, a normal beer list, in a normal atmosphere, with the worst chairs on the planet.
These could quite possibly be the most uncomfortable chairs I've ever sat on, in any restaurant ever, in history. The kids' booster seats would not sit on these silly patio chairs, so we had to stack 2 together for the kids. They're too low to the ground also. These chairs are for an outdoor kids patio play set. Lol.
The food: We started out with the hummus and veggie appetizer. The carrots were nice and crispy, but the celery was mushy and warm. Not good. The hummus tasted good yet didn't have a whole lot of spice to it. I think it's just plain old hummus. The tomatoes were not exactly as fresh as I would've liked them to be, but were still decent. All in all, I don't think I would order this again unless they freshen up the vegetables a little bit.
I had the fish and chips, which is a strange selection for me as I usually eat pretty clean, but some deep-fried something or other sounded pretty good at the time for some reason. It wasn't anything special. The fish was what you would think of if somebody mentioned fish sticks and the french fries seem to me like your typical processed variety frozen french fries out of the bag. At $15 it I feel like this was way overpriced. Am I missing something here?
The kids mac & cheese and the kids grilled chicken bites were both pretty good. The tomato soup tasted pretty good. The kids meals were $6.95 each. Seems like a fair value to me.
My wife had the pineapple burger on top of arugula with no bun. She said it was very good and the arugula salad was good as well. Seems to me like that one is a bit on the pricey side as well at $14 For a burger with about a cup of potato chips and a small salad.
Pros: I like that they are trying to do their part to be less impactful on the environment. They don't have straws, and they really try to keep a low carbon footprint. We were not blown away by the food, but overall it was decent. Parking is easy The service was very friendly and very attentive.
Cons: Overpriced for what you get. The most uncomfortable restaurant chairs I have ever sat in, in my entire life. If we would've had bad service here this definitely would've been a two...

We think we've become pros at ordering takeout during covid. We sort of forgot that next door was an option. I was hesitant looking at my potential order adding fries and a burger (possible cold burger and soggy fries.)Their pickup timeline was 11 minutes. I placed my order 11 minutes away from the place... no way that's gonna work out.
I showed up, my order wasn't ready yet... Perfect. Masked employees, socially distanced waiting area, clearly labeled take out pick up table... Amazing. Super friendly and polite staff... Impressive. My order came out of the kitchen 1-2 minutes later and straight into my hands... Incredible. I'm sceptical, 15 minute drive home, opened the bag to seperately packaged crisp and warm fries... Single tear. Burger is warm, order is correct, everything is right in the world... Chefs kiss. This has definitely been one of the best take out orders during covid or even before I've ever had.
To top it all off, a hand written note to thank me for my order, hoping I had a wonderful new year and listing those that packaged my order... Touching.
Great work Next Door Westminster, see you again very soon.
Thank you Alexa, Jason and Emily.
We ate too quickly and with much ferver to...
Read moreCame up here to celebrate my birthday with some family, easier to meet halfway so Westminster! Apparently owned by musk's brother, so that's a plus. Had the honey Sriracha chicken bites and they were amazing, think we might've gotten another app too but I was chowing on the chicken. I got the loaded smashers and a bowl of pork green Chile for dinner, because I love nachos and hadn't had loaded smashers before, and I absolutely love pork green Chile. The Chile was amazing, 10/10, would come back just for that. The smashers got left on the table; after I had a couple bites I opened it up to everybody and nobody was a fan. I thought it was maybe a 1/4 of the way to 'loaded' but everyone had their own gripes. Other than the smashers, it was an amazing dinner, and I'll definitely be coming back when I can...
