Exclusive Touch Salon — Local services in Whitehall

I found the salon through IG and decided to book with them. My experience was overall positive. Lynne assisted me during my appointment and I enjoyed the service she provided. My only disappointment stemmed from transparency with pricing. As a first time client, when viewing the website, it does not explicitly stated that first time clients ‘MUST CHOOSE’ the new adult guest package that includes consultation +trim and style for $85, therefore , I selected only the services that interested me: Flat Twist w/ trim - my total should have been around $60. As a SAHM, that is what I budgeted for. Unfortunately my total was $105. While in the styling chair during my blow dry, I was advised that I would receive a $20 up charge for my length. This was surprising as I had not seen mention of this on the booking site. Honestly, I find up charging new clients for a consultation a bit arbitrary, especially if it’s not really wanted or valued by the customer. I enjoyed my appointment so much! From beginning to end! I loved the warm, inviting atmosphere and loved that it felt like a safe space for women of color, especially Black women, to relax and "let their hair down" without concern for judgement or having to worry about the normalized shop culture. I was so impressed by everyone's hospitality and the wealth of resources in the waiting room filled with information about retirement, financial stability, and being the best you that you can be! Not to mention the quality products used and the education that accompanied my appointment, I can not thank Arys enough! She is the wonderful guide that my natural hair journey has been missing and I will certainly be returning on a regular basis! A very relaxing & calming atmosphere ... It's exactly what the name of the salon is... An "Exclusive Touch" from the receptionist to the stylist...

My stylists Ayris Michele did that! She made me feel as if my hair needs were all that matter at that moment which is just how you want to feel when you're at a SCHEDULED appointment. She was prompt, not rushed or doubled booked (Which is why I hate going to a salon).

She made sure with every process/step she explained exactly what she was doing, using and how the product would help my hair needs... Loved Loved Loved that extra massage she gives when washing the hair!

All in All I had an AMAZING experience and will be returning, my next appointment has already booked!!!

I'm looking forward to continuing with my natural hair growth with that "Exclusive Touch"... (Which I wasn't before I was a Wash & Go away from that "Hair Crack" AKA Relaxer)
