This gym has the worst customer service. I have been an LA Fitness member for almost 15 years and I've never had such a poor experience.. Today I was outraged by the general manager of the Santa Fe Springs LA Fitness the GM "Jose" approache my son and his cousins n asked them to stop working out together. Citing that my son was illegally coaching and it was not allowed at LA Fitness what a joke! Since when can you not go to the gym with a hiworkout partner and give each other tips?! I believe Jose was on some sort of Power Trip.. offered no resolution to the the issue he would not allow my son and my nephew's to continue to work out I am just beyond words livid!!! The whole time he sat there with his condescending attitude and pretty much laughed at us I don't accept that and I demand a full apology from him to not only myself my son my sister and my nephews were with!!!! Jose who should absolutely NOT be in customer service or manager was absolutely ridiculous he Not only was he rude he was condescending and he had the audacity to kick us out for working out in a group I am outraged!!! I'm calling corporate !! . Not only myself but my family members are each going to file a complaint against him and LA Fitness I believe we've been a victim of discrimination.I have never felt so infuriated and All My Life by someone who has no customer skill set. Instead of pulling my son aside and asking him to stop working out n to leave. Just as a customer service courtesy to a LA Fitness paying member he should have talked to him and let him know what the policy is and gave him some sort of warning instead of asking him to stop working out in to leave.. I have all this on video I will be taking this to corporate. I am so upset about this experience I consider it to be traumatic I'm now going to consult with an attorney about a civil lawsuit against LA Fitness for emotional distress and...
Read more(Buyer beware!!) Member for 3 years at $60 a month. With the intent of cancelling my membership a couple months ago, I walked in one Saturday. I was escorted by counter staff to a tall, elder male who worked at the "business" pods. Together, they asked me my info, logged on to my account, typed in a couple of keys, chatted back and forth. After about 10 min, the male assured me with utmost confidence that my membership had been cancelled. Assuming them to both be honest employees with my best interest at hand, I was lied to. A couple months later, I realized that LA Fitness was still billing me. Again, I walked in, waited for 15 minutes to speak with "manager." I explained the situation to her and she criticized me for not knowing LA Fitness cancellation protocol. She informed me that managers don't work on Saturdays (so I was magically supposed to know this?). As I was trying to remain composed, she then tells me I should have requested a receipt. Ok, yes, I was ignorant to not ask for a receipt, but at the same token--shouldn't the employees also not behave falsely, posing as people in charge, acting as if they are cleared to make executive decisions? Good business is offering a solution, a redemptive counter-offer at best, maybe even a refund, I would assume. Instead, I was made out to be the person at fault. Save your money... research other gyms or buy your own home equipment. On average, all you really need is about 30 minutes of daily exercise. Cut out sugar from your diet, join a walking group, walk your dog or buy a dog to walk, do something other than join this supposed "professional establishment." (BTW--zero stars was not an option, can't post unless it's at...
Read moreI cannot comment on the condition or services at the gym because I have not gotten past the poor customer service. On Monday 2-19-24, I walked to LAFitness from my house. I met with Leslie Reza who said my Silver and Fit gym membership had expired. I had not been since before the pandemic started. She reinstated me. At my request, Ms. Reza made an appointment for me on 2-21-24 with Elvin, a personal trainer. She asked me to leave a positive review if I had had a positive experience with her. I did initially have a positive experience. On 2-21-24 I came for my appointment with Elvin Castro at 1130a. I was on time and checked in at the front desk. My appointment was noted, and the woman at the front desk asked me to have a seat to wait. At 1140a, the woman from the front desk came to the table where I was seated and said Elvin needed 15 more minutes and asked if it were ok. I said ok. At 1201p she said Elvin was on his way. At 1205p, which was 25 min later than 1140a, not 15 min. By then Mr. Castro was 35 min late for our appointment. I went to the front desk and spoke to a man named Angel and told him I needed to leave and that I'd like to make an appointment with someone else for personal training. No one called me back. Mr. Castro never called me to apologize for wasting my time. Subsequently, from 2-28-24 to 3-05-24, I left 3 messages for Leslie Reza to return my call. Ms. Reza returned my call after the second time I called her, but I missed her call. I called a third time, and she has not...
