Had a very bad customer service experience here, which is unfortunate because itās one of our favorite stores in the world. My husband called the store to see if they had crop cages in stock and was told they did. We live on the other side of Lake Champlain and take a ferry in order to get to the store but we decided it was worth it for me to make the trip on a workday as our tomatoes appear to be deerās favorite Midnight Snack;-). After looking for the cages and being unsuccessful in ding them, I flagged down an employee. She had no idea and then called another employee, who also didnāt know. I asked him if thereās anyone at GS, maybe a manager that could help us. He called the manager who came out and also said he didnāt know where they were. The manager then began to question whether or not my husband called the right place-saying he probably called the catalogue by mistake. I told him I didnāt think he called the catalogue as we only ever shop at the Williston store. The manager then asked me the name of who my husband spoke to saying they had crop cages. He was clearly doubting me . I told him I had no idea who my husband spoke to and that my husband was at work but I could try to find out. I called my husband and got the name of the person and that person had left the cage by the register. Long story short, the manager was incredibly rude. I was so flabbergasted that I just got the cage and left, even though Iād initially planned to look for other plants to purchase. Iām really sad about this customer experience because it makes me not want to shop in what used to be āmy...

Mailer notes how they messed up and since made a major overhaul of systems and tech. Must have screwed way more people than me to send this out. The coupon expires 10/31/2024. 2 days to use their "generous" apology gift. I can so feel how sorry they are...
May 2024: This company does not care about private customers. I placed an order for Mother's Day over a month before, I never received a confirmation email. A month later they charge my credit card. The contact customer service because I never received a order confirmation email or receipt. They leave you on hold forever, and when I finally did talk to someone all they could offer and when I finally did talk to someone all they would offer me as a resolution is 2-day shipping at no additional charge. No mention of the fact that this should have been shipped out a month ago. No mention of the fact that I was charged prior to the product even being slated for shipment, because it was still in warehouse and not even in shipment status. No mention of refunding the original shipping charge on the account, or any other rectification for an order that was placed a month ago and never sent. In the end the customer service manager bullied me into canceling my order, and completely disregarded the fact that the company screwed up and should have sent this out weeks ago. They have lost a customer. And this was for my mother, that's what...

There is a good selection of plants for your every need, from tiny succulents to 6 foot tall office plants to make a statement. There is even a section of tiny plants for terrarium and fairy gardens.
In the store itself, you can find most all the products you need for gardening- pots, soil, starters, tools, and an abundant selection of seeds. The home section boasts a small selection of canning and fermenting supplies, and other household items, and there is a well appointed gift area with unique Vermont jewelry, aprons, socks, garden clothing, and more. There is also an outlet section where some good bargains can be found.
But I know you're really there for the plants. During the growing season, you can easily spend an hour perusing the wide variety of annuals, perennials, and shrubs. Carts and trolleys are plentiful, and lots of purple shirted workers are there to answer your gardening questions.
I go to both locations-Williston and Lebanon. I haven't been to the Intervale in Burlington in a long time, but the display gardens there are worth the trip.
Shake off those winter blues with a trip to the greenhouse And don't forget to look at the amazing bronze plant magnifier. It has a technical name, but since I don't know what it is, it's a kaleidoscope of epic...
