White House Black Market — Local services in Wilmington

I was here last week with my mom who loves White House Black Market. She was making a return and I was just browsing around waiting for her to be finished. Within two minutes of me walking around I was approached by the older woman with grey hair who works here. She asked how i was doing and what I was looking for. I told her I was just looking around waiting for my mom to be done. She then looked me up and down and told me in a very rude way, “then you should stay with your mom”. The way she said came across to me that she thought I was a kid and was stealing or something. I was honestly shocked because I have shopped in this store countless times and other WHBM stores across the country. It was incredibly rude and quite upsetting as I am a 22 year old woman, not a child. Even if I was , that is very unprofessional and not the way to treat anyone. Work on how you treat your customers, my mom and I will not be returning to...

The store itself has some amazing finds but the sales associates working on today left something to be desired! If you are of a darker complexion…. Buyer Beware! I can only speak from my experience!

Don’t buy anything from the White House black market store here in Wilmington… seemed to be racist! They spoke to other costumers in the store but since I was the only person in the store of a darker complexion, all that was said to me was an “excuse me” when the sales associate needed to get an item off the rack.

Out of all the stores me and my Mother have shopped in and spent thousands of dollars with, this was the worst and only store I have not spent...

This store has AMAZING people working there. The ladies are always extremely kind and personable. They go out of their way to help. Specifically, Amanda has offered amazing service during 2 visits to the store in the past few months. Amanda and her staff assisted me in picking out items/finding new styles that i would not have picked myself. They made the shopping experience fun and enjoyable for my Mom and I. I'm from MA, but will save my big WHBM shopping trips for when I visit my mom in NC. This place...
