If I could rate the dining experience less than a one star I would. I am absolutely appalled by the service my guests and I received last evening while dining at Red Robin. We waited approximately 20 minutes to be seated, which wasn’t a big deal. It was a Saturday night, and while not super busy, they were cleaning tables.
Eventually, we were seated and Cornelia, our waitress, took our drink order. When she arrived with the drink order, she then proceeded to take our food order. The dining experience went downhill from there. Our party, five in total, all ordered burgers which came with the bottomless fries and salad.
We waited over 35 minutes to receive our food, in that 35 minute period our waitress Cornelia did not return to check on us. We were all about to walk out when our food finally arrived, the restaurant was somewhat busy but nothing out of the ordinary. The waitress passed out the dinner orders then left, without verifying it was correct or refilling our waters. Turns out two orders were incorrect with one burger on the verge of being raw, despite being ordered medium well.
This problem should have easily been rectified, however Cornelia, our waitress did not return to check on us. Several of us ran out of water, and were wanting a refill on fries and salads yet our waitress remained inattentive. Finally, after waiting an obscene amount of time, watching the waitress walk by but fail to check in on our dining experience, I got up from the table.
I soon found her sitting at the bar casually having a drink while talking to her coworker. I had to ask her to come to the table so we could get a refill on our bottomless items and water. She said sure, and I headed back to the table. As I sat down I realized she had not followed me, but instead went to the computer and just typed in an order.
After another 15 minutes a kitchen staff member brought out a few baskets of fries. We politely asked if we could also have a refill on salads and waters, since our waitress was, once again, no where to be found. We waited for another ten minutes without receiving anything before the waitress turned up and we again asked for salads and water. She brought out the salads shortly after, refilled our water, then once again disappeared. Upon returning she asked us if wanted dessert and how we were splitting the check. She never once asked how the food was or if we needed anything. I will never return to this location, or any Red Robin for...
Read moreSo... my husband and I decided to have a quick meal while out shopping. We had some gift cards for Red Robin as it is a place we like to eat. However, it has been a while due to a bad experience at a Red Robin in the Myrtle Beach area. Anyway, today was the day to get reacquainted but sadly it has turned into our last visit.
We were seated promptly and given a menu each. We ordered our burgers and waited...a little longer than we thought but it was ok. When our burgers arrived with our fries, the fries were basically nonexistent and I immediately requested a new basket because they are bottomless. We were each given a napkin but no cutlery. We had to ask for knives and forks. Its seems they were all in the dishwasher according to our waiter. When we actually took a bite of our burgers, they were paper thin and not hot at wall. They were the temperature of a burger you cooked at home, left laying beside the stove, and ate for a midnight snack. With tax we spent over $30 on 2 burgers with fries and water to drink. To say we were disappointed is an understatement.
I was going to speak to the manager but there really didn't appear to be one on site. As I left, I asked the lady at the table near us if they had a bad experience and she said yes. We all agreed on the burgers being too small and cold, the order being wrong, and no napkins or cutlery. We also agreed that we would not be back.
Lastly, when we went to pay with our gift card I had a balance and gave the waiter a $10 bill for the balance and was going to tip but not the full amount of the change. When he brought back the money, he laid it on the table and walked away. At that point I realized he had not taken the balance but just broke the bill down. I have no idea what people are thinking these days but something as simple as handling money should come natural to people in the service industry. I handle money as part of my profession and can throw the numbers faster than the computer.
All in all, it was not a pleasant experience tonight and we will not be back. Eat there at...
Read moreI love Red Robin let me start by saying that but this last visit was awful to say the least. My friend and I went to eat lunch and were very excited being that it's one of our favorite places. But this time we had a waitress named Kelly I believe, she took FOREVER with the drinks then came back to tell us that we were her last table and she would finally get to go home, as a former I serve I understand that feeling but I still feel every table should be taken well care of. She then disappeared for most of the time we were there and the hostess helped us with refills and sauces and such. She then reappeared begging us to fill out a survey so she could win a contest and some bonus which I didn't really appreciate considering she was terrible. After sitting in the corner staring at us for 15 minutes realizing we weren't gonna fill it out she came and said and I quote "y'all don't have to fill it out, every single one of my other tables today have except y'all so just forget it" then hurried away before we could even respond. About 20 minutes after she came back to see how we wanted our checks. I said we would like them separate so she starts to click around on the little tablet on the table. She said hers is 17.09 and yours is like maybe 2 dollars more I'm not sure the exact number, I stopped her before she ran off again that I'd like copies of the receipts before paying and that I'd like to know how much it was, she came back with the receipts and we paid. She came back and counted out the change on the table in front of me and then ended up giving me the wrong change at this point we were both so annoyed with sitting there waiting for her to reappear that we just left. Needless to say we were both disappointed compared to previous visits and hope to never have this...
