GREAT DEALS on designer brand merchandise if you take the time to search thoroughly. COVID restrictions as of 7/15/2020, closed their dressing rooms. Public bathroom is still available. As of 7/1/2020, Gabes accepts returns within 30 days with receipt. Their points program permits you to earn up to 4 $5 off coupons within a given quarter period [3 months]. That's a change to the program as previously you could earn unlimited coupons. Nevertheless, enrollment is free and easy and doesn't require divulging much personal info. I've been a Gabe's points member for several years and, thus far, they have not sold any of my personal info nor do they clog up my email inbox. Plus, now, Gabe's supposedly maintains records of your purchases so, in theory, members may not need that paper receipt to return purchases within the 30 day return window. NOTE: As of 7/15/2020 The managers are both helpful and nice. But - CURRENTLY, because of COVID - they lost most of their seasoned floor staff and have new hires but are not yet fully staffed. This translates into your needing to really look for merchandise - i.e. the clothing size. Recently, I found a shipment of women's clothes in the back of the juniors section. Therefore, for the present, allot extra time for searching and be as patient as you can. A store manager can only accomplish so much and they're aware the store needs improved organizing. WARNING: CHECK the price the cashier enters - sometimes tags indicate an item is on clearance but, according to the cashier when questioned about a much higher price being charged at register without a word of warning - customers allegedly switch price tags and somehow seasoned cashiers can tell whether the clearance sticker corresponds to that item AND when it doesn't, the customer is charged the price that the item is listed as costing in their system OFTEN WITHOUT A WORD OF NOTICE. It IS disappointing to discover those great name brand shoes are $50 more than what the sticker indicates - feels a bit bait and switch-ish.... What's IRKSOME is being charged the high price and not being informed beforehand! Just a reminder that no one watches our pennies better...
Read moreI had a terrible experience due to the closing manager Andrew who hates his job and thinks that at 11:01 he should be able to run out the door. I was last in line and they didn't even start ringing me in till 11:08. I make decisions as I'm ringing my things in on what I want to buy or put back. Keep in mind I'm spending a good amount of money and Andrew wants to stop my spending process at 11:10 and tell me that he isn't staying any longer and allowing me to make any more purchases. He cut me off in the middle of my purchase and wouldn't let me buy the rest of my things. Told me I had to come back in the morning. Never in my days has any store or employee stopped me from spending $$ in their store and embarrassed me the way Andrew did. It was a horrific experience and if you can't handle a job that deals with the public and treats people with respect then you shouldn't have your job. It was uncalled for and if losing money for the company you work for was a job, then Andrew is employee...
Read moreI came in here a few days ago and found better items so I decided to return my previous items to this location today. I do live in another state by the way. The associate Tamela was very rude and nasty with handling my transactions. She wasn’t very informative on the issue I had with my returns. The manager Kathy was very nice and patient with returning my items. After Kathy came upfront to return the items Tamela had an attitude and asked Kathy why I am in this state anyway. People need to be careful about how they approach others, because you may never know what state of mind they may be in. It took everything in me not to go off on this associate. I don’t know if she was upset because she had to work early this am at 6 on black Friday or what, but that gives her no right to be rude with customers. Fyi I came up here to visit my sister because her husband passed. Can you imagine coming in a store and an associate having an attitude questioning why...
