Absolutely the worst service I’ve ever experienced. I paid $150 for Geek Squad to do a simple hookup of additional monitors. The tech came out on 8/15, couldn’t fix it. Came back 8/16, still couldn’t fix it. He promised he’d return on 8/22 with someone from the computer department to finally resolve the issue. Not only did he never show up, but he had the nerve to mark my ticket as “completed.”
I confirmed directly with Alexander by text that he would be here, and he just didn’t come. When I called Geek Squad to figure out what was going on, I wasted more than three hours being bounced around to overseas call centers where no one had the slightest idea how to handle my concern. The end result? Because the ticket was marked as completed, they refused to give me a refund. So now I’m out $150 for absolutely nothing. This is a scam, plain and simple. The lack of accountability, the lies from the tech, and the refusal to refund money for a service never performed are completely unacceptable. Geek Squad used to have a decent reputation, but based on my experience, they’re dishonest, incompetent, and not worth a single dollar. Save yourself the headache and your money, go...

I was told my laptop was “too old” but it works perfectly fine except I needed a new hinge for it so that it would open and close properly. It’s about 6 years old. Went in to get an evaluation and cost on a simple fix- a new hinge but that seemed like it was too complicated or maybe they didn’t want to accept a low margin job and would rather me buy a brand new laptop from Best Buy? I was also told that since the laptop was older that they probably don’t even make the parts for it! Anyways, got back in the car and searched eBay and located the parts within seconds and going to fix it myself for about $26! Thanks but no thanks! Read moreDon't go to them PERIOD, they aren't actual tech people, gave them my PC they fixed the issue then when I got home I noticed that they broke my USB ports didn't even tell me, brought it back to them to fix that and they couldn't. said they would have to replace an entire part that they can't order, then when I walked to my car and with my PC I noticed theirs a HUGE scratch going completely across the case of my $250 PC case, they said "I can only give u $20 in store credit" they said "usually we do a complete inspection when the device comes in and when we give it back".
