American Graphics Institute — Local services in Woburn

I've been a writer and creative director in advertising for 30 years. I took the InDesign 1 class at AGI because I'm a freelance writer and I wanted to be able to express my ideas better than I could with Microsoft Word.

I considered online classes or watching YouTube tutorials, but for me, having someone show it and explain it was a much better way to learn.You could ask questions and if you made a mistake, the instructor could point out what went wrong. This can't happen while watching YouTube videos.

I took the class in their Woburn location which was convenient to get to and the facilities were top notch. Each student had a new computer with a large screen to work with while following along with the instructor who had his screen projected large.

Our teacher was Senior Instructor Greg Heald. He was terrific. Incredibly knowledgeable as well as affable and patient. I plant to take more classes at AGI--I hope I get to work with Greg again.

Todd was a fantastic HTML & CSS instructor! His hands-on approach to teaching combined with his extensive coding and development experience allowed him to really drive home real-world examples and applications of the material, as well as providing special knowledge and insight about the web and coding as a whole. I learned more about the world of web coding from Todd in 2 days than I did working next to my developer coworkers for 5 years!

Todd was very approachable and happily answered any questions we had. He took the time to ask about our professional backgrounds and was great about showing us how to apply the material to our specific needs. His friendly attitude and pleasant teaching style made learning the material fun, and his ability to break down complex methods into easy-to-digest pieces makes him a very valuable teaching resource.

I would highly recommend Todd to others looking to expand their skill set in the technology field and would happily take another class with him in the future....

I recently completed a Digital Marketing Certificate at AGI. It was one of the best experiences I've had and would recommend it to those looking to refresh and learn new skills. To start off with, AGI's instructor Todd helped me love HTML (I never thought that would happen!). All of the instructors have been fantastic. Their Photoshop instructor was incredibly talented and passionate about art and makes you do so many creative projects on the platform. The instructors that AGI selects are all industry professionals who have a good pulse on the content they are teaching. I especially recommend taking some classes in person if you can because the other students that come to AGI are wonderful as well. You will have a great chance to network with people from all different backgrounds. I'm really glad I was part of the certificate program and hope that I can do another one in the future.
