I live in New York, but the mall closest to me doesn’t have any stores that I favor when it comes to shopping, so I took a trip to NJ and I went into this store around Christmas, hoping to find some last minute gifts; luckily I did! As I was being rung up by my cashier, she asked me if I wanted to join their FYE VIP membership, to which I initially said no and explained that I don’t live in Jersey and there aren’t any FYE’s close to my house so I wouldn’t really use it. My cashier smiled and told me it was a free membership and that it would also take a certain percentage off from my purchase that day. I was very happy to hear that, so I agreed. What could go wrong, right? She rang me up and got me out of the store very quickly, which I appreciated because who likes to be in a packed mall a few days before Christmas? Nobody. Overall, a pleasant experience. Now, fast forward to end of April (present) when I just so happen to glance at my bank statements that I had regrettably been putting off reviewing... and I slowly come to realize that not only was this membership NOT free, but I had been receiving a $12 charge every month for this VIP membership that I have never even used, nor would I most likely ever use. I called the hotline number to cancel it immediately, and thank sweet baby Jesus that the kind woman on the other end was able to refund me for all of the charges I’d accumulated. So I guess after this novel of a complaint, I suppose I’m more so upset with the staff and/ or management of this store for either (the cashier) knowing that I was soon to be charged for this and lying to gain a membership, it’s a complete betrayal of customer trust, OR I’m upset that management did not fully train or instruct their associates before throwing them out on the floor at their busiest time of the year. Either way, I hope that’s something that they can all work on going forward, it would definitely make for...
Read moreNice inventory and a decent variety but customer service has fallen big time! 2 times ive been in recently and stood at the counter while the young girl talked to her friend while I stood at the counter waiting, finally after almost 2 minutes she turns to me and says I can take you on this side, wrang me up, didn't tell me a total, didn't say thanks or have a good day, just went back to talking to her friend The 2nd time a older gentleman was at the counter I was behind him, no one was at the counter this other young girl was about 5 feet away texting on her cell phone while the gentleman in front of me kept saying "excuse me" about 5 times until I had to speak up and say "EXCUSE ME!" Then she walked over like we were disturbing her. Other times ive talked to managers in there and they have been helpful. I just think it's a matter of while managers aren't watching the younger employees they don't focus on the job and customer service becomes last priority. I'd complain to managers but it wouldn't do any good. 9 times out of 10 I never get greeted or asked if I need help. Actually I'll say 5 or 6 times I'll get a greeting but close to never get asked if I need help finding anything. I know from experience this store used to be one of the top stores for customer...
Read moreWould give this 0 stars if I could. Management here sucks! Extremely rude and non helpful and trying to push you out of store. The two girls working here really need to find a new line of work because they suck at what they are doing. They veer at you when you come in and my friend said the healthier shorter one a little too busty, gave him that you don't belong here look. First of all who the heck do you think you are woman?! You've got some nerve. What great customer service...NOT! It just disgusts me to see that there are people like this in this world who have such low self esteem that they have to pick others apart. It's just sad. I cannot wait until this business finally folds! And I have no doubts that it eventually will with this lack of service. To the BIG SHOTS (higher up who come to visit the store while the workers put on their best faces) there are lots of good people looking for jobs. I recommend you start fresh at FYE Woodbridge Center starting with the manager. The one guy at the desk today seemed friendly. He is the nicest one my friend and I have come in contact with. He actually looks like he enjoys his job and wants to help people. I wish I knew his name. Think he was new. Keep him....
