So, we typically use a different photographer and have been more than satisfied with her. However, I went with Brittany because I wanted a "more affordable" photo session. Well, you get what you pay for !
She offered to meet me at her store to help me with outfit coordination and she never showed up. A little disappointing but I am very understanding and chose to let it go bc I sought out a more "affordable" photographer knowing I probably won't get as great of an experience.
After our photos were done and i didn't hear from her, I reached out. She said they were done and she would "send again" even though they were never sent a first time. As I still hadn't received them, I asked yet again, and still got a message about "re sending" (as if I don't know how to read an inbox?). After even still not having the photos I paid for, I opened a PayPal dispute saying I hadn't received my product. She then said she would only send my photos if I first closed the dispute. Which absolutely doesn't make sense. Red flag #1- any normal business owner would just send the photos the first time I ask . Mistakes happen, I get it. So just send the photos? Red flag #2 - this dispute is about not having photos. It is resolved when I receive my photos. Why am I being told I need to close the dispute first ? Mind you, I have paid for them IN FULL. There should absolutely be no reason to withold them. Red flag #3 - since she never sent the photos a first time, I asked her to "please stop saying the word resend" (she wrote it in nearly every message). She then continued to use the word in every subsequent message as if to spite me 🤷🏼♀️
She then sent me a screenshot of my email address incorrectly typed into the drop box recipient list, saying she made a mistake. And again said she would only send the photos if I canceled the dispute first. I again said I would gladly cancel once I received the photos I paid for. She then issued a full refund and stopped responding to my messages. I never received my photos. I even said I'm still willing to pay back full price for them (which is pretty generous considering how terrible this whole experience had been). I never cared about the money - I just wanted the photos. Still nothing 🤷🏼♀️
In less than 24 hours after my refund, I was able to get in with a photographer who offered a much better all around package... Meaning I should have done more research before going with Brittany.
TLDR- Lots of childish behavior. Poor communication. Never received my photos. There are much better options out there. Steer clear of this mess if you care about your...
Read moreIf i could give a negative rating- I would. Unfortunately, have to give atleast one star to even leave a review. Please know- the one star is forced.
I have never felt more judged and out of place in my life. My shopping experience was not shopping at all. I am hoping I can save others from experiencing what we did. You know in the movie "pretty woman" where she is made to feel like fungus- the only difference is that no one spent money while we were there.
No one greeted or acknowledged my existence. Initially I entered the store because of there evident marketing strategy to welcome all ages with love. Extremely misleading. I was initially ignored but then surveillanced like a criminal. The bleach blonde woman was SO RUDE. I have never in my life entered into an establishment and felt like I was NOT welcome. My husband was almost physically ill when he witnessed how his wife was treated. The entire shortlived experience has made me never want to even go to downtown woodstock again. We support small businesses everywhere - but I will never spend my money in an establishment that treats their potential customers like trash/less than.
Take a picture if you really like the item and Google it- save your money, your self-esteem, and possible heartache.
I pray that no one ever has to experience the undeniable bullying and outright disrespect we endured. If this review saves even one person from a tearful and uncomfortable experience- worth it.
Remember- yall are all beautiful & more than worthy. Don't ever forget it- even though, dare to be different is certain to make you feel otherwise. God bless & I hope this saves...
Read moreThis is the first poor review I've ever left as a shopper and while the store is lovely, buyers beware. On Dec 15 my mother bought my daughter a little ivory colored, short sleeved top for Christmas here. It wasn't exactly her style so along with the gift receipt & tags attached I brought it back today, Jan 2. Here is the response from the kind young cashier who was just doing as directed- as she had to check with someone in the adjacent room before telling me: "I'm sorry, we extended returns until the 31st, so we can't take it back. I'm sorry. " I left promptly without a word.
I don't think my time-line for a Christmas return is unacceptable, but their holiday return/exchange time-line is. Thank you to Brooklyn's & Spirited for the exchange/store credit you gladly offered today that this...
