I will not be returning to this location ever! I came in to do some early birthday shopping for my daughter. What started as a pleasant experience given all of the cute clothes and accessories, turned sour very quickly as I went to place my items on hold. Dawn was not very happy to be at work and was extremely rude while I was giving her my bag of things that was given to me by the woman next to her. While I had been helped, I was quickly dismissed and told to bag my things in a very small and crowded section with no direction on what to do next while the woman took the next guess. Now I can understand if I had a cart full of things, but I had a few outfits and a pair of boots. So it wasnât going to take much time to bag my things and be on my way. Instead I had to bag my things, stand awkwardly and be ignored by the woman I had originally encountered. I then stepped over to Dawnâs side and told her I was placing these items on hold, although Iâm sure she knew that due to the small space and her proximity to the other woman. I got zero reaction at first from Dawn. I had to repeat myself, she then rolled her eyes and in a very demeaning tone questioned âare you even in line?â.. to which my reply was âyes, she gave me this bag to put my things in and then took another customer so Iâm just placing my items hereâ a long sigh from Dawn as if it was a huge hassle to staple the piece of paper I wrote my name on to the trash bag given to me to put my things in.
I am not a fan of leaving bad reviews at all, however the way I was made to feel like a nuisance in somewhere I had planned on giving my business to is completely unacceptable and should not be encouraged.
I hope Dawn wakes up on the right side of the bed tomorrow morning so another customer isnât disappointed...
   Read moreI brought in a sample that i got last time i was in the store, labeled with the # and color name. I told the girl i was pretty sure it was a bareMinerals matte neutral foundation. She said, "No, it can't be. bareMinerals isn't named like that. I can check for you but that's not how we're supposed to do samples to alleviate this problem." She went to the bar minerals foundations looked quick and came back quickly to let me know that she was right. "That's definitely not a bareMinerals color" i told her it sounded like it was. So she said i was welcome to look myself. She rushed off to help a guy with a product that he was interested in while i walked around the store to see if i could locate the bare Minerals matte powder foundations. Once i found them i looked through the colors and sure enough, there was the color and number that was written on my sample bag. I walked up to her, waited till she was done talking to the guy, then simply showed her the button of the jar. She said "You'll have to wait until I'm done helping him." I just told her that i just wanted to show her that it was a BM name in case someone else has the same question. Her pretentious unwilling attitude came close to keeping me from making a purchase, but i didn't want to make another trip to get my foundation. This was actually a surprise, as I've never had a problem at a Sephora store. But clearly, this was Kohl's, as she voiced that that the stand-alone stores are not affiliated. I felt like saying, "Obviously, and it shows." But i didn't feel like lowering myself...
   Read moreThis store was once pleasant until 4/18/24 when I had a traumatic experience with a racist employee named Beverly. To briefly explained what happened: I was shopping for my family & I. I went to pay for my items at self checkout and was directed by Beverly to go to a register and have the cashier check me out. I explained to the cashier Iâll pay in 2 transactions since I had a good bit of kohls cash I wanted to redeem before it expired in 2 days. She was very nice & checked me out with no issue. After I paid for my items I realized I forgot something else I needed to purchase so I asked if I may leave my shopping bags with the items I purchased at the customer service desk while I grab some other items. When I arrived back to the register to pay for the other things I wanted Beverly approached me saying I went over the limit of kohls cash that can be used in 1 day and that she took it upon herself to void all the items I paid for in one of the bags that I left at customer service. This left me baffled because why would she do such a thing? Firstly I didnât violate policy. Second, if this was actually policy why wouldnât you wait and speak to me so we can resolve it together so I can choose what items Iâd like to keep/return. To make things worse she wouldnât even give me a receipt from these items she unauthorizedly returned. Simple & plain I was profiled for being a young black man with tattoos. I did nothing wrong & didnât deserve this treatment. I will be speaking with corporate...
