Oh, where to begin. We had family in town the day of the GA v. Vandy game and they were staying in Woodstock. We are Canton T-Mac regulars so we thought we would show them what they were missing living out of state. It was pretty busy, but not terribly. Our server was kind, took our drink order quickly, got our order. They were totally out of sweet tea at 5pm, not his fault and we get it, it’s a busy Saturday and a busy place. We ordered queso and he asked if it should come out before the main entrees and we said please, yes. Maybe 40 minutes pass, no food or queso yet. He’s come by to fill our drinks twice already and promised the food will be out soon. We ask if we can get the queso soon and he was shocked no one had brought it yet. It came about 10 minutes later. Maybe 10 minutes after that, the food finally arrived. Somehow, after waiting over an hour, some of it was barely warm. Our server asked if we had everything and we were totally missing my very grumpy and hungry 2 year old’s meal so he went back to the kitchen to check on it. He returned and let us know there was likely a mix up in the kitchen because it was rang up but never made, they would make it now and take it off the bill. We got his Mac and Cheese and rice about 10 minutes later. I felt like this poor guy couldn’t catch a break. My father in law had ordered some wings to-go while we ordered our entrees and the server told us when we were paying that he had just put them in at the kitchen so they would be hot and fresh for us when we left. I think the surrounding tables could probably hear us audibly sigh. 20 more minutes pass before we get his 20 wings. A minute per wing I guess. It was such an odd experience for a Taco Mac when we have had so many wonderful experiences. I saw some people around us getting their things fairly quickly, and others painstakingly slow. I’m not sure what the heck was going on, maybe an off day for the kitchen or a new guy throwing off the groove, who knows. Our waiter was very apologetic, but unfortunately my in laws will probably never take our word for a restaurant recommendation again. Although it was a glacially slow visit, the food was definitely good and it’s a solid place to watch a football game. The wings didn’t even make it out of the restaurant, the man ate them all inside because he said the flavor was so good. Read moreI wish I could give zero stars. Our experience at this location was beyond horrible. We called ahead for a birthday to make sure the restaurant could accommodate a large group as they have for us before. We were told yes. When we arrived that was a found to be a lie. When speaking with the “manager” who goes by Kenya Taliaferro we were told to leave if we didn’t want to wait outside in the cold. It’s self explanatory to leave if we didn’t want to wait and understandable if that was the case. But we had no problem with waiting. And I told her this. In this conversation she progressively got more aggressive stepping closer to me while using big hand gestures. I asked her to step back as I could hear her just fine. At some point in the conversation she told me I was fired…? At this point I’m confused as I don’t work there and never have, I am a guest so I assume she forgot who she was speaking to. I hope she doesn’t talk to employees like that as well. Over all her behavior was uncalled for when as a customer I was expressing my concerns as to why there were many empty tables and no one moving them or communicating with us what was going on. I would have moved the tables myself if given the option. There were at least 3 employees standing listening at the front while the “manager” argued with me. We asked for someone else in charge and she said she was it. I asked for the contact of whoever was above her. In trying to contact Thomas Balkcom the operations manager, the email would not send to the address I was given. In the end she told our group of 9+ people (children included) that we aren’t welcomed back. As frequent guests to this particular establishment I cannot even express my full disappointment in this beyond unprofessional interaction with Kenya Taliaferro. Read moreTypical Taco Mac for those who have been. Service at this location always seems to be on the slow side and the customer service aspect from waitress to manager is inadequate.
07/12/2017- Visited last night with 2 friends and while all 3 meals came out together, one was entirely wrong and sent back. (Grill chicken with mild sauce and received fried chicken with something ballistic smelling.) It took them over 30 minutes to correct a simple grill chicken mistake and the manager came out, delivered the product and said "is this correct" to which we said yes and he followed up with "great, as long as you're happy we're happy" and walked away. No restitution for the mistake given. I've had a number of not so great experiences at this location but this one tops the cake.
12/02/2017- Today’s issues: come in for dinner. Said we would wait to be seated INSIDE. No wait outside. After 20 minutes our pager went off. We were then seated outside. Unhappy, we went with it. Three orders with one app to start. Two orders were drastically wrong, sent back, and then returned wrong the second time. At this point, fed up, hungry and cold, we ate. No follow up service and had to go to the front desk to pay before leaving.
12/3/2019 I don’t update every time I’m here but yet again I’m here and nothing has changed. It’s like torture, it’s so conscience to and all the other locations are so good but this one just doesn’t get it. Very slow, 530 dinner time. Many open tables. Server is no where to be found and a simple 3 person order with wings, a salad and a wrap took 30 minutes to come out. AND THE ORDERS WERE WRONG AGAIN. You’ll get served, eventually, but service will be poor and there’s a high likelihood your food is not as you ordered.
