We visit this location on occasion. Food is usually good, but overpriced. Tonight we visited before closing. We asked if they were still taking customers the manager said yes. We decided to order light because it was late. We are about halfway through our and noticed a gnat in the cheese dip. The server came up to the table right after and I handed him the bowl. I explained there was a gnat in the cheese dip and I didn't know if it just flew into the bowl or if it had been there. He asked if we wanted a new bowl and we declined because we didn't have the appetite to continue eating a food that had a bug. He asked if we still wanted the item on our check which was off. He then asks if we wanted him to remove it from the check and my mother says yes that would be great. There was still at least half a bowl of cheese. When the check came the cheese was still on the check. My mom put her debit card with the check and notified him that the cheese was not removed. He said" You want me to remove it from the check???!! Because you still ate it." Unprofessional to say the least. We ate a portion of the cheese until we noticed the gnat and politely sent it back. My mom was floored and said" You know that's fine just leave it." She refused to leave a tip and wrote a note on the check. I cannot believe how a server keeps a job treating people like this. I also noticed him informing the MOD but the MOD kept looking at our table but instead of checking on the situation and apologising he simply went to the back of the dining room and sat down. I will not spend my hard earned money in an establishment that doesn't take care of there customers but instead treats them poorly. In addition, my son ordered pizza from the kids menu. This pizza was absolutely pitiful. It was basically a Red Baron single that was microwaved. You could tell by the crust it had not been in an oven. It cost us $5 and drink...
Read moreThis has become one of our favorite local restaurants. My wife was on an organic vegan diet (due to health reasons) and has recently added fish. Adriana and Ernesto have worked with us to make the fish dishes not heavily seasoned and yet cooked spot on to her taste. There is no problem when you ask for reasonable little changes to the dish. They always greet us with the smile and make sure our experience is excellent through out the meal. If you want a quiet meal atmosphere, don't come on the weekend... the place is popular and packed. Try a Monday or Tuesday night when things are slower. They have great specials then also. As to prices, a salmon dinner is lower here then steak house competitors and there is a lot more good food on the plate. Check out there new gift shop too, cool gift items at fair prices. PS, the blueberry cheese cake is ohhhh so yummy! {post addition}: Read other reviews after my post, and there were a few who complained on here... but obviously did not speak to a manager, EVERY restaurant can have a bad service or food not quite right. The owners here take pride in their restaurant and are very accommodating to make things right (experienced first hand). As to pricing.. is not their issue. Every restaurant has double or more on their pricing, the economy is in the toilet... blame those who put it their, not those who are struggling to make ends meet.. included...
Read moreDont normally write reviews. Sat down instantly, took 15 minutes for anyone to get our drink order chips. I'm not a stickler waiting a few minutes but 3 tables (I caught on and started counting) came in after us and were served a minute or 2 after sitting down. They got their drinks and almost their food before we ever saw our waitress. She explained she was new so I forgave the slow service temporarily.
Pitcher of michelob ultra was as flat as could be. Never got a water refill or request for another drink after finishing the pitcher.Took about half an hour to get our 2 orders of nachos. The Texas fajita nachos were served on a kids plate (13 bucks), steak was burnt to a crisp. The misses took her first bite out of shrimp not knowing they had their shells still on, checked and all 4 had their shells still on. Told the waitress she might want to inform the cook, said she would. Came back out of the blue (didn't ask for a new order or anything... should have, but didn't) and said her manager told her that's the way the come. Alrighty? Want your customers digging through cheese and grease to peel their own shrimp, more power to yah. Grande nachos were pretty good and had a very pretty presentation. Total time for 2 orders of nachos and one pitcher: an hour and 15 minutes.
First and last time. 2 stars instead of 1 because the...
