This has to be one of the worst customer services I personally ever experienced. This morning I purchased a wall decor for $14.99 apparently the front cashier miss typed the price that should have been $15.99. Here where it goes south.
The evening cashier and appears to be her lead asked for the receipt, I had forgotten it in the car. They asked me to put the card in and they said I had not used that card their and they could only give me 50% towards the exchange. I knew I had forgotten my receipt and went to my car and showed them the receipt with the matching card number.
They said it was not the same receipt and that I could have basically stolen the sign and trying to return it and they would be losing money.. A company I have supported for many years, basically accusing me of stealing a $15 wall decore and trying to exchange it for something of equal value... The lead cashier said they will have to look at the camera to verify I actually purcahsed this item. After I said I do not like to be accused of stealing she than say sometimes they may have missed typed the price. It is no big deal. It is a HUGE deal to accuse me of stealing and trying to cheat them out of their money.
After they reviewed the camera they confirmed I did indeed purchased it and that it was a mistake on their part. I WILL NEVER STEP FOOT IN HOBBY LOBBY AGAIN, I will also be sending the corporate office a message about this as well. You lost a consumer who had always been loyal to this corporation over a $15 decore that I PURCHASED and yet was accused of possibly stealing it. NEVER again will I support...
Read moreI love shopping here...I could spend an entire fortune with the unique merchandise available.. The girls( and guys) there are always so helpful! One day I realized My oxygen tank was empty...I didn’t realize it..I said to a clerk, who happened to be a mgr. I need some help....She Said “ how can I help.?”
I said in my car(silver Toyota Avalon) handicap parking..are extra oxygen tanks..Can you bring me one? She went out..came back in with the tank, which looked to her like a torpedo! I was back in business, but now when I see her...she says.”.Everything ok today?” We laugh... Now that’s what I call CUSTOMER SERVICE!
I only wish they had electric carts It’s something to do with insurance. I told a male mgr once if they had electric carts, I would be spending more money! He said he’d be glad to push me around in one of the regular wheelchairs. Really??? “ He said yes..” But that would not work, as I like to stop & look @ Everything!,,
It saddens me to read that Steve Green are closing some of the Hobby Lobby stores..I hope Mr Green will reconsider closings... While online shopping maybe the norm..nothing beats the actuality of seeing the items personally And experiencing the smile & friendliness of a cashier/ clerk.

Note to Executive management: On march 3rd, I picked up this same custom frame I paid for in December for some minor repair work. Simple enough, I left with the plastic wrapped frame with a taped receipt and walked out the exit. A young lady in essence raised her voice from a distance with the echo of the vestibule;
"Sir!, did you pay for that!"
... (the look on her face wow) Right in front of other customers, I've never been so embarrassed being accused of theft, ultimately she blamed me since "I didn't check in with her first.
No apology.
So, to my Hobby Lobby friends (still) there is a training issue here, if you were to accuse the wrong person of theft and they felt compelled to stop and felt "detained" along with a specific accusation you might have some liability on your hands and some bad press.
The simple and obvious solution should have been.
Sir, May I see your receipt? (without the scowl.. lol)
Still my favorite store and will always come...
