SUPER FRIENDLY staff and AWESOME eats!
First of all, allow me to say that I’m one of those pathetic Americans who didn’t bother to learn a word of Spanish before parking my ass in Palermo SoHo for three months. While this fact might not appear relevant to a coffee shop / cafe review, hear me out.
Even armed with Google translate, I still always feel sort of weird and self-conscious every time I set foot in a dining establishment and prepare to interact with people I can’t easily communicate with. (I know, I know, I deserve what I get.)
The very first time I came into Kajue Cafe, the staff (all adorable people in their twenties) were so ridiculously warm and welcoming that I said to myself, “Hell, I don’t even care if the food is mediocre because everyone here is so sweet and makes me feel so comfortable.”
But it wasn’t mediocre, it was AWESOME: plump omelettes cooked to tantalizing perfection, pastries so buttery they melt in your mouth, salads so artfully plated you’d think the kitchen was secretly staffed with budding designers, and desserts so decadent you’d swear you’d died and gone to confectionary heaven!
The last time I was there a couple of days ago, I was waited on by Brenda who should definitely be in line for a big raise. (What a CHAMP of a server! Way to crush it, Brenda!)
If you’re looking for the friendliest coffee shop and cafe in town with awesome eats to boot, Kajue has got your name written...

I left positive feedback in my original review a year ago but since, there's been a noticeable decline in quality here, both in drinks, food and service. It seems like they've had a large turnover in staff and unfortunately, the newer staff members seem to lack urgency or attention to detail. If I were a business owner, I would appreciate honest feedback so I hope this is a helpful data point. This use to be a place I'd visit frequently but I feel less inclined now. I'll update again next time I'm in Buenos Aires.

They have the usual pastry items you'll find in most cafes plus some (harder to find) hot menu items if you're looking for a heartier breakfast. Their bacon and egg croissant is delicious, soft scrambled eggs, crispy bacon, and a nice crispy yet...

What an experience!!!! Que increíble!
After a long Sunday morning, we stumbled upon this beautiful classic bistro coffee house. We were greeted by the wonderful team (shoutout Eduardo) who made us feel right at home.
At first, we just came for a coffees and had some the best iced latte of our lives (I’m from New York). as we were getting ready to head out, we looked at the menu and saw an incredible range of options that all look delicious.
My friend and I both got the Kajue Desayuno with French toast, eggs and bacon all cooked to perfection. Our friend got the Philly cheesesteak. Classic.
Beyond the delicious food, the staff is also kind, friendly and joy to be around. I’ve come back since many times and encourage all to...
