Patagonia Gourmet — Restaurant in El Chaltén

Mica, the waitress, and Lucas, the chef are amazing. The food is absolutely delicious. My husband ordered the menu of the day (cutlet with potatoes and some veggies, in spanish called "chuleta a la riojana") and I ordered sorrentinos with Bolognese sauce, both great!! When I come back I'm definitely ordering the menu of the day. We heard amazing things about the bread pudding but it was all gone! Lucas can barely keep up with the high demand. A wonderful little spot just off the main street. Lucas was a great host and chef. All four of us got the special of the day and it was fantastic. The papas fritas were perfectly fried and the steak was simply delicious.

Do yourself a favor and, no matter what you get, have the bread pudding for dessert. We ordered two and, between the four of us, demolished them immediately. Best dessert I had my whole trip.

Will absolutely go here again when I have the pleasure of returning...

I had the daily dish which was some sort of potato mash with very little bit of meat, some cheese and veggies - It was so tasteless that I couldn’t eat. My sister had the breaded beef with potatoes and it was tasty. The pumpkin soup, which people seem to have recommended, was 16 USD, which is very overpriced even for El Chalten.
