I was excited to try this place after hearing they had real pho...sadly, I would be let down again just as I was with every other bowl of pho in the region, e.g., janpho....
We ordered pho bo, tom yum, nem ga, and goi tom...
THE GOOD: The nem ga was pretty good and was served w/ fish sauce...the goi tom was the BEST SPRING ROLL I'VE HAD IN THE REGION and the mango was an interesting addition...I didn't try the tom yum but my dad liked it (though not familiar w/ the cuisine), and the portion was small....
THE BAD: The pho IS NOT the traditional 10+ hours beef bone broth you've grown accustomed to around the world....while it's not just beef bouillon like every other place here, I think it's actually pho ga, i.e., chicken based...and it's too salty due to too much MSG or too much chicken bouillon...I'm leaning toward the latter....Also, I ordered sprouts/chili (additional charge) and didn't even get any sprouts as it appears they have never had them.....There is no Sriracha or Hoisin sauce available either....
Conclusion: It's better than most in the region...but still below average for the world...stick to the rolls...maybe try a wok dish....Also, unlike most Vietnamese restaurants elsewhere, this one does not appear to be wholly-owned by a Vietnamese family, if at all....which probably explains the questionable menu....
*UPDATE to RESPONSE:
There is no way this is normal beef pho broth....none....let's see a video of you baking the bones and simmering them for hours if that's true......2nd, there are NO sprouts even available in the restaurant....I think you need to go try real pho and quit using AI to respond as you're outright lying about the availability of sprouts (maybe you don't know what bean sprouts are?). Note how yellow the broth is! If you know pho, you know what I'm talking about...Reduced 1 star for...
