We came to this restaurant in Yerevan with a large international group, full of excitement because of its high ratings. Unfortunately, what should have been a wonderful evening turned into one of the most unprofessional and disappointing dining experiences I have ever had.
At first, everything seemed fine—food and drinks were ordered, people enjoyed themselves, and some guests began leaving as the night went on. Naturally, those leaving early paid for their meals individually without any problem. However, when the rest of us (about half the group) went to pay, we were suddenly told that we could only pay as one group bill. The excuse? The restaurant was about to close, and apparently the staff had already closed out the register. This was absolutely unacceptable—how is it the customers’ problem that the staff mismanaged their system? We had every right to pay separately, just like our friends had done earlier.
The situation became even worse when the owner himself came over. Instead of showing understanding or professionalism, he approached us in a passive-aggressive manner, asking “what is the problem?” in a tone that made us feel blamed, not helped. When we explained, he bizarrely remarked that “other customers are looking at you and might think something is wrong.” The irony was painful—we were the customers, and it was their mishandling of payments that caused the entire issue.
To make matters worse, we were essentially pressured to settle everything outside “on the street,” as if we were doing something inappropriate, while other guests were still sitting inside enjoying their meals. The whole thing was not only deeply uncomfortable but outright insulting. Eventually, one member of our group had to cover the entire bill, leaving us awkwardly calculating who owed what, just to be able to leave.
Only later did the owner half-heartedly acknowledge the mistake, but by then the damage was done. The initial passive-aggressive behavior, the lack of respect for the customers’ wishes, and the humiliating way we were treated left an extremely bitter taste.
It’s a real shame, because Yerevan is such a welcoming city, yet this restaurant left us feeling unwelcome, disrespected, and inconvenienced. Management here clearly does not understand basic customer service, and the owner’s attitude was shockingly unprofessional.
We will never return, and I cannot recommend this place to anyone—whether you’re a big group or just a couple. There are many other restaurants in Yerevan that deserve your time and money far more...
Read moreThe atmosphere is cosy and stylish, and the staff is friendly and helpful with pairing suggestions. The prosciutto arugula pizza is a must-try - delicious balance of salty prosciutto and fresh greens. The chicken with lemon sauce was tender and full of flavour, and the quinoa & stracciatella salad was fresh and light with the creamy touch. Couldn't miss tiramisu "irish coffee"— was classic, rich, and flavorful 👌 I also love that you can choose your wine directly from the shelves, which adds a really unique touch to the experience, we had a bottle of prosseco bottle 🍾 Definitely recommend this place for a great meal, perfect for a casual evening or...
