Initially this review was somewhat negative because staff made several mistakes with the meals including gluten contamination on a glute free meal but other meals were very good. Since then we came back here few times and all following visits were very positive, meals are excellent and they have gluten free bread. I've changed this review to very positive. Lamb Souvlaki is my favorite.
Below is my previous review from approximately Dec 2023. It was moderately busy so maybe that contributed to mistakes.
Short: Significant problems with service, TWO people went without food we ordered! The food that we did get was excellent.
More details: Our group of 10 had dinner here. My 8yo child can't have gluten. Waiter seemed knowledgeable and gave good advice about gluten free meals. On waiter's advice we ordered lamb souvlaki without bread nor other gluten bits for my 8yo, but it came out with bread already on the lamb so there was nothing my child could eat.
Another person at our table did not receive her order at all.
Food preparation time was not quick, about 35-40 minutes, which is ok for a real meal. They were ready to make new meal for my kid and the missing meal for my friend but we could not wait another 40 minutes again.
I felt really bad because my lamb (I ordered the same) was just amazing, I never had better lamb, but unfortunately I had to rush to eat it and go home to get my child something for dinner.
The meals that we did get were fantastic. Others kids said their chicken nuggets were very good, prawns and my lamb were perfect. It is a real shame about ruining one order and missing...
Read moreAdditionally, Australian Consumer Law requires that pricing information be clear and not misleading. Therefore, if a restaurant or venue offers a service or product that varies by person (e.g., a set menu), it is best practice to clearly communicate this to customers to avoid confusion.
I am writing to express my disappointment with the pricing presentation for the mixed platter on your menu during my recent visit. I ordered the mixed platter, which was listed with a total price but no indication of the price being per person. This caused confusion, as I assumed the total price was for the entire platter and not per individual.
Upon receiving the bill, I was surprised to find that the amount charged was significantly higher than expected. It became apparent that the price listed on the menu was per person, not for the platter as a whole. This lack of clarity is misleading and could easily lead to misunderstandings for customers.
I believe that for transparency and customer satisfaction, it would be more appropriate to list the price per person clearly alongside the total price on the menu. This way, customers can make fully informed decisions when ordering.
One of the workers shared that this issue happens quiet a lot and it seems we have fallen for the trap due to the deceitful nature. Create a menu that is CLEAR and have your WORKERS explain this instead of causing such a ridicule to the good food the chef created. I feel sorry...
Read moreReally poor. Ate the seafood platter. Rubber (like a super bounce ball) octopus (my jaw still aches from chewing - please do a 2 second search on Google on how to cook octopus), incredibly overcooked chalk textured Barramundi with slimy chewy skin (I didn't know this was possible - and should be classified as criminal), flavourless dip, salad unseasoned and deeply drenched in olive oil (oil is a component of salad dressing, not a substitute for info), unpitted olives was also an unpleasant oddity, oyster drenched in olive oil also - very bizarre (which I assume is the elatte oyster - the creator clearly never tasted it), no lemon in sight - or anything else with acidity that may have lifted this platter. Staff seriously lacking personality/interest.
We work darn hard for our money - they certainly didn't (which was really frustrating as I hate wasting so much money on food that I could have purchased for less than 1/3 of the price and then put together so much better myself). Tough times ahead with customers having less money due to interest rates - I'd be sharpening up if I were you.
Put a real dampner on our evening. Such a shame and I hope they revisit the components of...
