Zambrero Glenelg — Restaurant in Adelaide

I had a life changing experience a few weeks ago here at Zambreros, Glenelg. It has taken me some time to comprehend the greatness experienced in that restaurant that night. i think constantly about the mere excellency emitted from one young boy in particular. 'Josh'. Josh. Josh made my large nachos with integrity, strength, courage and most importantly, large portions. His graceful gloved-up fingers elegantly sliding his way to the pico de gallo was nothing short of euphoric. When I tell you the Nacho container glowed, i mean it. i thought it was radioactive. As soon as i exited the restaurant, all surroundings paled and grew dark and cold, in comparison to the warmth 'Josh' had omitted just seconds ago. Nothing had any substance or vibrancy apart from my glowing bowl rested in my hands, and as i turned my head, Josh. His colourful, confident stature and graceful, firm-gripped hands shone against his drab environment he was encased in. Josh deserves better than this. Josh deserves me.

After tonight's feast at zambreros glenelg I have gathered a new perspective about the impact good service can have. I am a regular patron at Zambreros and despite it being a takeaway restaurant with minimal employee interaction I have had countless poor experiences, however tonight was and exception... I was greeted by a smile from a young man named Lewy, the smile never left his face as I divulged the specifics of my order. His lavish portion sizes and excellent rolling skills put a smile on my face. Lewy's genuine interest in me and my day has not only restored my faith in Zambreros but also humanity. Never had a problem with zamberos before until i came here. Ordered a lamb burrito, gave me the tiniest of pinches of each ingredient, except lettuce. I ended up with a 90% lettuce burrito with mostly wrap folded on itself. I paid extra for black rice and got half a small scoop and I asked for lots of sour cream as I usually do and she just looked at me and proceeded to give me a smaller than normal portion. I asked for all the toppings too. But with her tiny pinches, i couldn't taste any of it and she left the corn off. Just lettuce and wrap for a premium price. Ill never order from this store again. Total rip off. Go to Zambreros on Hindley or Rundle street....
