Sherpa Kitchen and Bar — Restaurant in Adelaide

As Palden dai was narrating us a story on how he developed a poleko mushroom recipe as a kid, I gulped a spoon full of velvety textured daal covered with home town nostalgia. Let’s start from the beginning: I wasn’t expecting much when I entered the doors of Sherpa dining because not many Nepali restaurants have left me wanting for more here in Adelaide! Boy oh boy! This time it was different! Definitely a cozy, pristine and homely looking decor as I walked in and passed by few people who were visibly enjoying their food. I located a small painting of mountains on the wall as I took my seat. Little did I know the foods were worthy taking me to those mountain heights ! Packed in flavours, not too much spice laden or greasy. Felt like a delight not only to my tastebuds but also to my stomach. A pretty little food server was cherry on top! This place has a great range of Nepalese cuisine with Healthy options! They seem to use a lot of healthy ingredients especially olive oil and other unsaturated fat which are very hard to Indian in Nepalese cuisine and their taste is amazing.

I tried laphing which I usually hated because of the excessive amount of oil used, but when I tried it here it was amazing and with very little oil, Momo/chowmin/curries are very light, and simple and tastes amazing with a complimentary soup on momo. Polelko mushroom is very light and juicy and taste amazing and the best thing about choila is it's made in olive oil and with full of flavours.

I tried lots of dishes here and what I found is light, Healthy and authentic with healthy options. The staff are friendly and very professional.

Very bad dinner ever ,

Today this evening 15/02/2022 , I went for dinner with my relatives in this restraunt . I had heard a very nice rumour about its food . But , in reality when eating , around 8:45 pm , we found a big insect on our food .We all stopped eating and complained about it silently , thinking that restraunt owner are also from our community . But , they asked us they will do some discount on the food cost . We paid the amount for the food . What a shame , is that the real motive of that buisness? What a frustrating situation , if you stopped eating because of insect and still you need to pay for the food on discount . They said verbally , if anything happen they will cover the medical charge . From today I will never step on...
