Here visiting Adelaide and wanted to explore the area where we come across Swedish Tarts. The space is a beautiful open outdoor / indoor area tastefully decorated with crisp white walls, mix of wood and leather chairs and lots of plants. The music was gave a good vibe and the staff were friendly, efficient and knowledgeable. I had the eggs benetict with bacon and a side of blistered tomatoes. The hollandaise sauce wasn’t overpowering and complemented the meal. The poached eggs were perfect and my meal had lots of bacon! The portion sizing was a lot for me but I finished the plate as it was so delicious! Would highly recommend if you’re ever in the area to stop by here for not only the food but the friendly environment that the Swedish Tart team has created.

Too expensive for me. 2 x Medium Latte, 1 x Flatbread, 1 x Big Breakfast = $67. Not sure if it’s worth it to you but not to me. I was expecting a Swedish ‘touch’ to each meal but what we got was a very typical café breakfast. Dry and solid hard bacon. Nice presentation but still not worth the price. Not great on service too. Waitress was grumpy and slammed the table water almost hitting my daughter. Sad to see this kind of service, my wife is a regular as she likes the pastries but due to this kind of treatment, I don’t think we will ever be back.

While I’m sure this place is typically lovely - and it is always pumping with people. I took my elderly aunt who was recovering from surgery, and the staff were very short with her. I’d almost use the word snappy. It wasn’t warm and welcoming of someone elderly, which surprised me. Possibly a bad day for the staff? Possibly because it was a late morning and the staff needed more coffee themselves? HAHA! But honestly the staff member was what turned me off. The food was lovely. The coffee perfect. The atmosphere awesome.

I’ve been coming here with a family member most weekends after doing a workout. Coffee and service used to be decent. Lately it has been so slow that I’m considering finding somewhere else. My experience today took the cake though. Got there at 9:30 am, was seated. Took about 10 minutes for someone to take our order and we advised we just wanted coffees. Ordered said coffees. It got to after 10am and our coffees were no where to be seen. We enquired at the counter and we’re told they had no idea what had happened. The same girl who took our order came to our table to advise they had forgotten our order and now it would be a further long wait to get coffees. I said that wasn’t fair given we had ordered now 40 minutes ago and said if they can’t come out in the next few minutes we would leave and grab takeaway. The girl advised they couldn’t make our coffees in that time. As we were walking out I asked whether they were making a takeaway coffee to which the girl advised no. I was completely shocked that we just walked out. 45 minutes of wasted time. Whoever now owns the glenelg store needs to have an education on appropriate staff to hire that know something about...

We have been here several times and the experience has been good, today however completely undid all of that. 4 of us and 1 toddler went in for a 9:30 brunch, ordered a coffee and breakfast each, the place was about 3/4 full so pretty standard for a Saturday. At 10:00, 30 minutes later, we asked about our coffees and were told they're 10 minutes away. At 10:20, now 50 minutes after ordering we asked again and were told the coffees were delayed due to understaffing. At 10:30 we were suspicious about our order so asked again for a 3rd time to now be told, sorry your order wasn't put through.. so .. it wasn't checked the first 2 times we asked? Anyway, the food and coffee finally came out at about 11, 90 minutes after ordering (which was fun with a hungry toddler), without a single apology, or the faintest acknowledgement of what had happened. Even upon full payment, nothing. I said I was disappointed and received a 'oh yeah, sorry.' Might I add we were very pleasant throughout, which made it that much more upsetting. Mind you food was good but it was soured by the experience. I don't think we will be coming back...

My partner and I ate breakfast today at Swedish Tarts Glenelg, coffee and drinks came out promptly. After about 25 - 30 minutes of waiting for our food, we asks nicely how much longer our food would be. The waitress explained it’s a 25 minute wait for our food, we explained it’s already been about that, she turned and rolled her eyes, and went and checked in the kitchen. We then got our food 10 minutes later, only to then find a dark hair in my food. I was bought out another meal. We went to pay, no apologies what so ever for what has happened, and then the waitress tried to charge us for the meal which came out with a hair in it. After 40 minutes of waiting and a hair in our food, and no attempt for an apology, waitress was extremely rude, this is by far the worst dining experience...
