BOOM Nightclub — Restaurant in Airlie Beach

We were given a free entry and discounted drinks wristband to Boom as part of a different tour done in Airlie. Everyone on the tour was meeting here. As soon as the promoter and bouncer at the door realised we had wristbands for free entry and discounted drinks they were extremely rude (eye rolls, dismissive.. a big change from the welcome the promoter gave us when she thought we would be paying to get in) multiple of us were refused by the bouncer entry for being “too intoxicated”. We had two drinks in boatys frist. No one was drunk or messy. Most of us turned away and went to Magnums, by the end of the night most of our tour group were in Magnums (those who were allowed entry were either thrown out shortly after for being “too intoxicated” or were served watered down drinks so decided to leave). The group felt targeted by all staff, they were rude and didn’t want us in there. I’d rather spend my money in a bar with good atmosphere and nice...

Nice place, staff were pretty average. Not welcoming but the real problem was the “alcohol” they served. The lady tried to tell me the cocktail had 60ml of alcohol but literally was nothing but a bit of cordial and soda. Tried to convince me there was alcohol in it despite they’re quite evidentially being none at all. I’ve seen bars do some dodgy stuff, but this was special. Highly recommend buying bottled stuff...

At first it was good. I was asking a security what his Job was, because he looked lost, and he said nothing and I laughed. After that, they said this was the owner and they didnt let me in, in the club anymore. A bit a childish behaviour because I was able to explain myself and I had done nothing wrong. But they said to me, the Boss/Owner was to busy to talk to me and let me in. I expected more of...
