We were given a free entry and discounted drinks wristband to Boom as part of a different tour done in Airlie. Everyone on the tour was meeting here. As soon as the promoter and bouncer at the door realised we had wristbands for free entry and discounted drinks they were extremely rude (eye rolls, dismissive.. a big change from the welcome the promoter gave us when she thought we would be paying to get in) multiple of us were refused by the bouncer entry for being âtoo intoxicatedâ. We had two drinks in boatys frist. No one was drunk or messy. Most of us turned away and went to Magnums, by the end of the night most of our tour group were in Magnums (those who were allowed entry were either thrown out shortly after for being âtoo intoxicatedâ or were served watered down drinks so decided to leave). The lady tried to tell me the cocktail had 60ml of alcohol but literally was nothing but a bit of cordial and soda. Tried to convince me there was alcohol in it despite theyâre quite evidentially being none at all. Iâve seen bars do some dodgy stuff, but this was special. Highly recommend buying bottled stuff...
